How I do my snow
1. Open images in psp fix it way you want it...... take selection tool and draw around the part where you want the snow... if image has a border I go inside the border....... or if just want certain part of the image to show snow I select around that..... using selection tool or lasso tool [point to point or freehand]
2. Dupicate that image 9 more times so you have 10 layers as my snow gif has 10 layers.......
3. I always start on bottom layer so close all the other layers off with the litte red X on the layer in the layer pallette... now the psp image is ready..
4. Open AnimationShop and open the snow gif which has 10 frames....... do a Edit /select all so all the frames are highlighted.....
5. Then right click on top of the file and down to export to psp..... that will open all the snow gif in psp.... [If you are using X X1 or X2 the export will be greyed out unless you have an older version od psp on computer this is way Corel change PSP to work with AnimationShop.. I have changed the gif file to a AS file so it will open in PSP]
6. As I said in #3 I start with bottom layer..... close all other layers off of the snow gif....
7. Right click on bottom layer 1 of the snow gif /copy
8. Right click on the psp image and paste / paste into selection.... Which will paste the snow into the area you selected that has the marching ants..... [marching ants will be on all the image layers]
9. You now have snow in the bottom layer. close off that layer move up to next layer... open that layer.....
10. Close bottom layer of snow gif.... move up next layer open it.... and repeat #'s 7 & 8......
Each time you change layers make sure you have that layer highlighted to use..... [image and snow gif]
You need to repeat that to each layer...... I know you are saying long process but it gives the best snow I've ever found.
11. After you finish layer 10.... reopen all the layers of your image......
12. Do File / Saveas your file as a AnimationShop file........
13.In AnimationShop / Browse to the file you just saved open in AS... Test it...... If you did all the layers right you should now have a nice snow falling......
14. Now just do file/saveas.......... your snow image is finished.......
