Thanks Dianne, I set my pop ups to high. Meanwhile I got this reply from photobucket that I'm not sure I understand what they want. Maybe you can help. I do have a malware program.
Please reply if you can with a screenshot of the Photobucket page you are/were on along with a copy of the view-source of the page in your photobucket account you were on when you received the virus or malware alert. This will help us in identifying the culprit if it has to do with content on our site.
Instructions on capturing screenshot here:
1. Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It may be labeled [PrtScn].
2. Open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint or Word.
3. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
4. Go to the File Menu and choose Save As.
5. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image.
6. Type a file name for the image.
7. Select a file type. (JPG preferably)
8. Click the Save button.
9. Attach saved file to your email reply.
Instructions on capturing viewsource:
Internet Explorer-> Right-Click->select 'View Source'->Ctrl+A->Ctrl+C->open a word document or in the body of your email reply paste (Ctrl+V) the copied HTML source code of the Photobucket page that you were on when the alert came.
FireFox->Right-Click->select 'View Page Source'->same instructions as above with Internet Explorer.
Also, in dealing with these incidents, we do recommend that you utilize one of the many
Anti-spyware/malware applications available to help protect your computer.
One such program can be downloaded at the following link:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
We also recommend ensuring that all available browser updates have been installed for the
Browser you are currently using.
Please note, if you believe your computer has been compromised, you may have to run an
Anti-spyware/malware application more than once while both connected to and disconnected
From the Internet to ensure that you have completely removed the threat.
Thank you
Sincerely,
