Last week we went to a local protected area with the dogs.  I remember walking there in college many years ago, but it was not cleaned up with trails back then.  The day was perfect and we needed a break after 3 days of yardwork.  There's nothing better than hiking with the dogs except hiking with the dogs where they can swim.  Happy dogs put a big smile on my face.  There are a few pics in the gallery.

This week was mowing weather and I have lots to mow.  I was able to get about half of our trails up in the woods mowed.  I'll try to post some pics of them soon.

Hi Hideawayhill. Sounds like you had a nice time. We have cooled down a little, but now we have unhealthful air from the California fires, so not good for hiking.

Yes, we had a great time!  Temps are upper 70s to low 80s and the humidity hasn't been too bad yet.

I was out in CA a couple of years ago when it was well over 100 day after day.  I couldn't take it.  We also saw some fires burning off in the distance.  I found that scary, but there wasn't an air quality problem where we were.  That must be quite worrisome and make it unthinkable to be outdoors.  Hope it all gets under control soon.  Stay safe!
