There's 2 way you could do it....... one is to just d/l a free version of AS to your laptop.... but if you want all the features of AS to work with PSPX2....You need to install psp7 and AS which came with your psp7...... I know from having pspX2 and use it all time....
My harddrive had be replaced few months ago so I decided just put my pspx2 back on and a free AS version... but soon found out that the Export from AS to PSP was greyed out.... Barbara had decided to do same as I and deleted all her older versions of psp... We used the Export so much that we really had find way for it to work as it did with all versions psp on our computers.... I looked at my sons computer who had psp9 and pspX2..his Export was working.... So I readded psp9 and As that came on my disc.... Barbara had psp7 with AS so she added it back....We both had the Export back and everything else from AS worked with PSP... So I really think that's the way I would get AS is from your psp7......
Vi is also so right about what she says about saving as Animation Shop file.... Starting with pspX when Corel took over PSP.... We had start saving as AS file for AS to recognize the files...... I know to be a fact that files do need be saved as Animation Shop files since pspX came out for AS to recognize them... I've used all the versions of psp.......
Try saving same image as psp file and AS file.. open AS and you'll only see the AS file... it doesn't recognize the psp file.... this is for pspX pspX1 and pspX2.....
Also just tell pspX2 to find your plugins folder in my documents and they should all work with vista.... If a plugin was an exe file you probably will have rerun the exe file on the laptop but other plugins should work.....pspX2 probably is already set to see the other folders.... patterns mask gradients selections etc...
