Using An Image Program

I subscribe to Cloudeight's Newsletters.  Does anyone know?

1.  I am using Paragon for imaging and backing up my hard drive.  I see Cloudeight is recommending a new one called Macrium Reflect.  There was also one other one they recommended.  I've forgotten the name.  Does anyone have any experience with these programs and is one really better than another?  Don't know if I should change midstream.

2.  When using an imaging program, when you first start it up it asks for you to make a boot CD.  I know you need this.  My question is, everytime you image a backup it asks you to make a boot CD.  Do you need a new boot CD each time you run the image program or is the original and first boot CD you made sufficient to cover future images?

I've tried to use those & couldn't figure it out.

But I would think that only ONE boot CD is actually needed. For back up, I use my external hard drive, which has its own software.

I have used Paragon before for backing up. I also tried Macrium.  I think they are both good...so whichever you prefer is fine.
