Did you know that even though the 'default' is for the 'left side' of your page to be smaller...you can make both 'sides' the same, or even make the left side larger?

All you need to do is use the same size graphics on both sides.  I usually use 500px graphics on both sides & they show up fine on a 17 inch monitor.  I can 'test' it on my laptop, which is 17 inches.

Always a good information Di .. hope you will post it in the NotOverTheHill Tips and Tricks section.  It seems like it would be more for what we do here on our page at NOTH.

I try to keep mine at 400 or just a bit below.  That's one reason I usually end up with double images...one I resize to use on my page and in comments and one of the original size.  Of course, I'm never sure how it all looks as so many of us use different size monitors.  What fits perfectly on one has to be scrolled for another.

One thing I have learned to do when I'm working on my page...make sure my compatibility button in on for the site.  Otherwise, centering makes no difference whatsoever, and the page just doesn't look right to me.

Yes, I really like having the opacity set so viewing can be easier; otherwise, why have a really nice background if I can't see it, or at least the hint of it.

Oops...sorry Rebecca: I deleted my comment that you were obviously replying to!  Yes, I love changing the opacity.
