I have been trying to get a few night shots (unsuccessfully) with my digital camera.  I have a Cannon SX 100 IS, 10 x optical zoom.  Does anyone have any tips regarding the settings I should be using for night shots.  Any help would be appreciated.

There are many aspects to consider for night photography, location, aperture settings, shutter speed etc.

A link you might want to have a look at is http://www.photoxels.com/tutorial-night-photography.html.

Thanks Peter for link, looks like a great site.  Have been taking mostly Macro pics with my camera but now it is time to branch out, have oh so much to learn and this site looks like it has a fountain of information.   Thanks again.
