I thought this was kind of cute!

Forget Rednecks ......here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about New Englanders...
If your local Dairy Queen is closed from October through April, you live in New England.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in New England.

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in New England.
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you live in New England.

If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of New York City for the weekend, you live in New England.

If you measure distance in hours, you live in New England.

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you live in New England.

If you have switched from 'heat ' to 'A/C' in the same day and back again, you live in New England.

If you can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you live in New England.

If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you live in New England.

If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you live in New England.

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you live in New England.

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 70 and everybody is passing you, you live in New England.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you live in New England.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction, you live in New England.

If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car, you live in New England.

If you find 20 degrees 'a little chilly', you live in New England.

If there's a Dunkin Donuts on every corner, you live in New England.

If you actually understand these jokes, and forward them to all your New England friends & others, you live in New England.

Hi  Everyone,

I am also from Maine  born in Freeportt back when we were mostly born at home. LOL!!  I have lived around a few other states also. Massachusetts is where I was most during school years which was many moons ago.   I was in Arizona for three years from 2002-2005.  Too much heat there for me.    Maine is my home and will always be even if I move to warmer climate for my old bones etc.   I have back problems, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, bad knees and basal cell carcinoma now on my face. Having a consultation with a specilist surgeon  November 18th. Then I am off to Florida for 2 weeks to be with my daughter for Thanksgiving. Will have surgery after I get back.  It is not the bad skin cancer.  Ohhhh!!! I hate that word, but I know I will be fine.  Thanks for listening...     Jan

Hi MsJan....I live in Detroit...If you don't know where that is as most people don't....we are a very small town (700 ppl) anyway I'm between Newport & Pittsfield....I know a little bit of the pain you must be in...I have fibro, 3 herniated disks in my lower back, osteoporosis & I had a stroke on my left side...I'm lucky it didn't effect my speach or my walking ability..although I have pain on the inside & numbness on the outside.so sometimes I do have to use a cane..ya I know that sounds weird..the pain plus the numbness & trust me it is weird...my pain is called phantom pain...my brain tells me I got pain...it's where I got the brain damage but there really isn't anything they can do for it except neurotin...it does help the nerves on that side somewhat...how long have you had the fibro?..I've had it since 1985....when I 1st got it the drs didn't even know what it was...it got called ...fibromylagia, myositis, fibromyositis & mylagia plus more but I can't think right now lol...do you get fibro fog?...you must have the CFS along with it too right?...Have a great vacation...I wish you luck with your operation...when you are going to have it keep me posted ok hun?.....Hugs Teresa
