I have been reading Robert Noonan's trilogy on the Orphan Trains, called Wildflowers, Bridie's Daughter and Secrets. They are wonderful books giving a lovely picture of the turn of the century life in our land. The stories are realistic with suspense and romance. These tales tell of some of the children (fictional) who might have ridden the Orphan trains and what the real children faced in their travels to find new families. I have thoroughly enjoyed the books. Robert is one of our NOTH members, so you can check him out. He is brie.

I will have to get these books.  I remember an old movie about an orphan train and the towns and people who adopted the kids.  Have always wanted to learn more about it and that time.  It being fiction will make it more enjoyable for me..

I think you will enjoy them, poseylady. They are available on Amazon.com. That is where I ordered them. Amazon has everything, I think.
