Chat is a fun way to interact with one person, or
with a small or large group. They are very interactive, so if you have never
used a chat room, just click the "FlashChat" button found at the top of each
page, you will immediately be entered into the main "Lounge" and you will see
everyone tying their messages, one after the other. Don't worry about trying to
"keep" up. Just have some fun, learn a little here and there, and once you have
the basics down pat, you will be surprised how much fun it is and how easy it is
to keep up!
If you are new to chat, here are a few pointers
to help you along:
- HAVING TROUBLE
READING THE MESSAGE TEXT? You can change the color and size of
the text in the chat windows by clicking Options, then Text. The important
thing to remember is this -- if you find it hard to read the text that
others have chosen, you can make EVERYONE's text the color you want!

i.e, making font readable if someone is using a contrasting color, getting
scroll bar back if you resize text, and more.

Important Info for Entering Chat: Please hold your Shift key down while
click the FlashChat link so it will open in a new window. We are working on
getting the link set up so it auto-opens a new window and will let you know when
this is done.
Need Help with Chat? The best way to learn chat is to first, review the
Tips section of the forum so you go in a little prepared. The next best way
is to enter the chat room and ask questions! You will probably get answered
almost immediately! People love helping each other learn, and soon you will be
the "teacher" to new people. Once you have been there, if you have a specific
thing you didn't quite get, or a question,

Main rules of Chat: 1) Read tips to get the basics, 2) Don't worry
if you cannot keep up with the "flow of the room" at first, as it does move fast
at times, 3) Get your font color and size set up and changed from default if you
want, 3) Explore options as there are many, and 4) Don't worry that people think
you are ignoring them when learning.. we all have been there and getting your
feet wet is the best thing to do! Rule #5 and the MOST Important.. Have fun
