Mysteries, comedies, hate foul language and nudity, etc., which excludes most of the modern movies. Enjoy many of the Hallmark productions (feel good movies and tearjerkers LOL).

Love music, all kinds except the modern "stuff". Have sung in choirs since I was about 10 years old, took piano (play so-so) and some voice. Like Christian music, Steve Green and Daniel O'Donnell to name a couple. Attended three of Steve Green's concerts which I enjoyed tremendously. Also enjoy easy listening, Christian, classical. Have been a choir director, and played piano or organ when churches were desperate!!!!

Am an avid reader, mysteries, romantic suspense, Christian, biographies. Recently discovered Marcia Willett, old favourites are Luanne Rice, Rosamund Pilcher, Kate Wilhelm, Anne Perry and the list goes on and on and on......

Colour adds interest to the everyday things in life. I like all colours, but my favourite all my life has been blue, and then as an adult deep and shocking pinks came a close second.

Having lost 150 lbs. and kept it off for 7-8 years I'm careful about what I eenterat and can't eat as much as I used to. I like chicken and sea food, and like fresh fruit.

Have never even looked at sites like Twitter. I guess I'm behind the times!!

Today was a really happy day for me, went shopping with my friend (the one we've been praying for). She's having to limit it to one hour to start, but it kept a smile on our faces for that hour. The warm, sunny day made the day extra special. It's still taking too much time to add pics, etc. but I'm certainly enjoying the challenge. A big Irish Hug to everyone reading this message, enjoy the week!!! Joney

I retired at age 67 from managing the business
office of a nursing home. Was a caregiver to my husband as well for a number of years. First he had some day care, then a group home and finally a locked unit in a long term care facility. I can look back and laugh at a lot of the events that took place during that time, but when it was happening it was difficult.

My husband and I were foster parents to troubled teenagers, adopted our one son when he was 13 months old. He now has a "significant other" and two children, Emily 9, and Liam 7.

I love crafts, and because of arthritis in my hands have taken up new crafts. Card making being one of my favourites. Because of a miracle in my life I discovered what was causing a health problem and am able to control it with a mineral, which has enabled me to commence a new phase in my life at age 75. Life is good and God is Great!!

Being involved with people. Taking the time to really get to know them and finding out what makes them tick. I find that when you really get to know people it's difficult to dislike anyone. You may not like some of their actions, but you can't help but like them.

Gossip, foul language, being judgemental about people.

Having kept busy most of my adult life with making a home for my late husband, son, and foster children and working full time and being involved with volunteering at such diverse tasks as teaching drama to the handicapped, visiting in a children's hospital and working with the elderly. it was a shock to find that arthritis and fibromyalgia at age 67 were severely limiting what I was capable of doing. Fortunately I can still pick up speed on the computer and have found I can do many new things, such as designing cards and doing research on many topics. I was an avid knitter, did counted cross stitch and the list goes on and on as I was always trying something new. So I still keep busy, and sites such as this one allow me to make new friends, keep up with the old ones and also find some new interests.
