Gone with the Wind, Gaslight, Jezebel, Pride and Prejudice(the old one with Lawerence Olivier and Greer Garson), Wuthering Heights, and other old movies. Movies with Humpfry Bogart or Betty Davis, TCM is my favorite channel.

Gone with the Wind is still my favorite book, first big novel I ever read. I like suspense, mysteries, WWII stories, and others. I don't like Harlequin or similar stories.

My favorite colors are spring colors, mostly pinks, purples, and blues.

Chocolate is my favorite food. Just about any kind, except with nuts, (I don't like nuts) and especially with mint. Ice cream is next, followed by stuffed pork chops and good Italian spaghetti, not the thick kind. Baked sweet potatoes are yummy, with brown sugar and cinnamon. And have you ever eaten a chocolate covered frozen cheesecake on a stick at a fair? Soooooo good, but really rich.

I was married on 7/7/07. My husband's name is Dan and I've known him for about 28 years. I retired on 7/31/07. Retirement is the greatest! I've lived around here all my life. I went to college, but didn't graduate. I worked 26 of the past 28 years, as a cashier and then a meatwrapper. I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers, with me being the oldest. I have 2 daughters, Wendy and Maria, and 2 sons, John and Scott. Jessica and Allison are my granddaughters. They live in NC, so I don't get to see them very much. Wendy is their mother. Maria lives with me. Walking is what I do for exercise. I live in the country and, during the warm months, it's so enjoyable. In the winter, it's another story. We have 4 cats, Mickey, Jasper, Bandit , and Chloe. The Red Hat chapter I belong to adds a lot of enjoyment to my life. It gives me something to do and friends to do it with.

I like a lot of things. Summer is my favorite season. I like to walk and listen to the birds and animals and feel the breeze and smell the fresh air. I like to read, shop, eat out, spend time with my family. I like to play on the computer. I also have a MySpace profile, www.myspace.com/laniebelle1 I love my time with my Red Hat friends. Also, I do Sudoku puzzles, but the very hard ones stump me a lot of times.
