Happy Birthday for those with March Birthday's /Joyful226/Connie

Stopping by to wish you a Happy March  birthday the lady is playing your song. “Happy Birthday to you,  Happy Birthday to you.. Happy birthday God bless you .. Happy birthday to you.. and many more…
The birthstone for the Month of March is aquamarine  The flower is the Daffodil This is the Poem for your month also called Aquamarine
"A March born shall always be
Soothed by Aqua, gem of sea
This mermaid's treasured stone you wear
Will bring happiness, love, affection and care."
The aquamarine – also called the “poor man’s diamond” – High quality stones are  found In the United States, Colorado, Maine, and North Carolina are the best sources.
The name aquamarine was derived by the Romans, “aqua,” meaning water, and “mare,” meaning sea, because it looked like sea water. Aquamarines were believed to have originated from the jewel caskets of sirens, washed ashore from the depths of the sea. This association with the sea made it the sailors’ gem, promising prosperous and safe voyages, as well as protection against perils and monsters of the sea. Its first documented use was by the Greeks between 480-300 BC. They wore aquamarine amulets engraved with Poseidon (the Greek god of the sea) on a chariot.
Beginning in the Roman period, the aquamarine was believed to possess medicinal and healing powers, curing ailments of the stomach, liver, jaws, and throat. During the Middle Ages, it was believed to be an effective antidote against poison. Aquamarines were thought to be the source of power for soothsayers, who called it the “magic mirror,” and used it for telling fortunes and answering questions about the future. It is said that Emperor Nero used it as an eyeglass 2,000 years ago. Much later, aquamarines were used as glasses in Germany to correct shortsightedness. In fact, the German name for eyeglasses today is “brille,” derived from the mineral beryl. The best color of the Aqua Marine is a light blue. The symbolic meaning of the color blue has a Biblical meaning symbolizing heavenly grace.
The flower for the month is the Daffodil.  Some regard the Daffodil as the symbol of regard. This flower is a Narcissus; however, all Narcissi are not Daffodils. The Greek Myth of Narcissus and Echo explain why this flower holds its drooping form. Narcissus was in love with Echo who, in the end did not return his love. He hid in a cave to escape his sorrow. Often, he would come out of the cave to check his reflection in the lake. Out of vanity, he desired a closer look at himself so he leaned in closer at the lake's edge, falling in. After he drowned, a Narcissus bloomed in his place. The flower's drooping head leaning over to stare at its reflection in the lake's water portrayed the vanity of Narcissus.
The Romans brought the Daffodil, also known as the Jonquil, back to Britain because it was thought that the flower's sap would heal wounds. Unfortunately, the sap of the Daffodil did little to heal wounds. In fact, it actually worsened wounds by irritating them further. The sap contained sharp crystals known as calcium oxalate, which protected these flowers against animals from eating them. This calcium oxalate is also the reason why Daffodils do not hold up well in flower arrangements. They cause other flowers in the arrangement to wilt. Although these flowers were not put to use as healing flowers, Daffodil roots proved useful during Greek times of famine. Their roots are edible (although the bulbs are toxic). Christians have adopted the daffodil as a symbol of Easter as it was believed that the flower first bloomed during the time of Christ’s Resurrection. The legend says it was in the Garden of Gethsemane during the actual time of The Last Supper which symbolized great sorrow and hope for much better things to follow.
In Germany the flower is known as Ostergloken or ‘Easter bells’ and in England they are known as Lent Lilies where Prince Charles receives a single daffodil annually as a tradition. It is considered a rent payment for the unattended lands located in the Isles of Scilly. When giving a daffodil, the message being sent is “You Are An Angel.”
Other things pertaining to the Month of March this year on the 8th Daylight saving time begins, with the clock on the upper left hand corner,
Below the clock is a roman reminding us to beware of the “Ids of March” Which is always March 15th, the day that Julius Caesar was murdered. He was told to “beware of the ids of March”. The soothsayer who told him this met him on the street earlier in the day .. it was reported that Julius said to him.. “Well today is the Ids of March and I am still alive.”  The Soothsayer said “Ah yes but the day is not over yet.” Indeed he was right.  The Ids of March really only mean the middle of the month of March.. Ids means middle..
The 17th is always St. Patrick’s Day with the 4 leaf clover in the bottom center and the little bear on the cake is holding them St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland.
Spring is on March 20th this year in sometimes varies between the 20th 21st and 22nd . With the word “Spring” and also the couple in the bottom left hand corner who are enjoying a spring day on the boat. The birth flower of the month the daffodil is also one of the first flowers of spring.
At the top right hand is the Angel Gabriel announcing the birth of Jesus to Mary. This is always on the 25th of March. 9 months until Jesus is born.  In the Roman Catholic Church this day is observed as the “Feast of the Annunciation”.
Below that is Jesus entry into Jerusalem with the waving of palms, representing Palm Sunday which this year is on the 29th of March.
These are a few of the happenings and no birthday would be complete without a nice Birthday Cake and Ice Cream..I hope you enjoyed this information and made your birth month even more meaningful to you.  May your birthday be a wonderful one filled with wonderful blessing and lots of goodies.
Hugs Connie
