"The Music Man" and "The Sound of Music" are super!

Gospel, country & classical are at the top of my list.

Biographies are now my favorites. After reading some of them, it gave me new incite into the persons and helped me see why he/she believed or acted the way she/he did.

I love any shade of blue. It is so calming & peaceful.

It used to be when I was younger I ate to live. Now I live to eat.
My favorites are soft shell crabs, fried chicken, any vegetable and chocolate pie, chocolate pudding or chocolate ice cream.

I have been married to the same man, Richard, an army brat who has lived all over the world, for 46 years in December of this year; we have one son who was in the army band for a while, a deaf interpreter for a period, but is now a massage therapist.(We have one nephew who is also career military & still serving.) I am a Marylander (home of Michael Phelps & Cal Ripken, Jr.) and have lived in this state all my life. I have retired twice -- from teaching after 31 years & from being a dr.'s asst. after 10 years. Now I work part-time in retail and also sit on the county tax and assessment appeals board plus volunteer at my old school and at a local fire dept.; I am a head usher with my husband for the community concert series here in our town. I also volunteer at my church. I like to stay fairly busy.

I love rubber stamping and embossing. It is so relaxing for me. I never thought I could do anything artistic, but doing this craft has helped me see that I can do a little something along this line.
I also love any sport, particularly the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. I was going to be a phys. ed. teacher at one time,& then changed when I wondered if I would be able to run around the field in my 40s & 50s.
Reading and cooking I also enjoy.

I don't like it when people pay no attention to the world around them and never know what is happening or if they know, they do not absorb as gospel anything the mainstream media tells them. I may not agree with a person's conclusions but I think he/she should be informed & know the facts and not just what the mainstream media says.
I also do not like housecleaning. That is why I continue working, I think.....so I can have someone come in and clean my house.

I can spend hours working on rubber stamping and embossing/making my Christmas cards and birthday cards. Then I will wonder where the time went.
I also collect snowmen, Santas, milk glass & China cups/saucers. I would like to start collecting Polish pottery, but that would be an expensive hobby unless I had extremely good uses for everything I bought.
