I grew up in upstate NY right by Lake Ontario. I was raised on a dairy farm and eldest of 9. I was quite the tomboy with 5 brothers after me and always preferred being outside to in. I met my husband at the state fair while showing an animal. While married for 32 yrs. I spent 3 1/2 yrs. in Spain and had two of my children there. When we returned stateside we lived in northern Maine where i had my third child. We lived in upstate NY for the next 19 yrs. then moved to VA. My husband divorced after 32 yrs. I was diagnosed with two types of cancer in 2004, was treated and was fine until 2010 when i was told the breast cancer has spread to the bone.I am now doing alternative treatment on my own as there is really nothing the doc can do for me. I remarried several yrs. ago and appreciate each day.
WHAT I LIKE
playing ball with my golden retreiver, Aspen; reading, crocheting, photography, woodcraft, biking, walking, playing on computer, family get togethers, nature, wildlife.
I live in the country and enjoy the quiet while sitting on my porch watching the wild turkey with their little ones wander through, deer coming right up close and munching on my ripe peaches, even a woodchuck climbing the trees for the peaches...i didn't realize they could even climb trees.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
living so far away from my children and grandchildren that i rarely get to see them.
