Mamma Mia, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing - you get the picture - the usual "chick flicks", but I do like historical period drama too!

Enya is my very favourite, but I also like most Classical and easy listening type music, with a leaning towards instrumentals (The Shadows), and of course... 50's & 60's (we grew up with it, didn't we!) I've still got my original one of these Lava Lamps from the 70's only it doesn't work quite so well anymore!

I'm a real bibliophile and have quite a substantial library! NON-FICTION: Anything of an historical nature, with a preference for Medieval and British and also Roman history, true crime.
FICTION: Again, historically based, also contemporary light romance and mystery. Favourite authors: Victoria Holt/Phillipa Carr/Jean Plaidy (all the same person!), Cynthia Harrod-Eagles, Phillipa Gregory, Phyllis Whitney.

Green, closely followed by yellow (bet you couldn't guess!!!) A real Aussie ~ love the green and gold (wattle).

Chicken, prawns (shrimp), avocado, potatoes, eggs. I also enjoy Chinese and Italian cuisine. And or course... CHOCOLATE (I think I already mentioned that!)

I have been divorced for around 15 years but still good friends with my ex - in fact I think we get on better now that we don't have to live together! I have one daughter who is 33 and lives here on the Coast. The Sunshine Coast is about an hour's drive north of Brisbane, Queensland's Capital, and is a popular tourist destination and a beautiful place to live. I started out as a Secretaty when I left school but have spent most of my working life working for the Australian Postal Service, firstly behind-the-scenes in Admin, but at the "coal face" behind the counter for the last 25 years or so. Late last year I began my transition into retirement by job sharing with a colleague - we work week about (split weeks) so I have 7 days off in a row every second week. I'm loving it and look forward to a time when I can make retirement permanent - I have so much I want to do....

Cats, genuine down-to-earth people, the smell of bread or cakes baking, fresh crisp clean sheets, white flowers, and of course... CHOCOLATE
