I am full blood Cherokee Indian,born at Claremore, Oklahoma and raised in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and was adopted at 2 weeks of age. My adopted parents were not able to have children and I have always felt very lucky that I was the choosen one.Mom and Dad were the best. Yes, they were a Mom and Dad in all the ways that counted. When I was 14 they adopted my little brother that is full blood Cheyenne/Arapaho.
I have 47 years of wonderful marriage to Jim and we have 2 boys,one 46 with one boy of 25 with one son of 2. The other boy 43 which has 3 boys, 16,14,12 and one girl,10. Ashley is really a tomboy and tough as nails. Ashley was born on my birthday of 5/14.How lucky can a grandma be that her only granddaughter be born on the same month and day?
I graduated Sallisaw High School in 1962 and that summer started college at Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Ok. but never got my degree. My plans was to be a Veterinary but guess it was not ment to be. My first paying job I made .75 cents a hour at a sewing factory. I worked at several sewing factorys during my work history of many colors. Clerks for all types of Dept.Stores,Bookkeeping/Filing in Banks,Nurse`s Aid,Manager`s of different kinds, Motel Manager`s, drywall hanger, and etc.
I have had a very colorful life and would not change a thing.

Living in the country.Having my husband still beside me every day after 46yrs. All farm animals and dogs of all kinds.I`m just a old country girl. Riding horses was a favorite of mine, did barrel racing, did Trick Riding in my younger years for fun and some at Rodeo`s. Love our 2 dogs,Jake is a black Lab male of 4 and he loves riding the 4-wheelers,he just loves to go. The other dog is a 1/2 breed Blue healer/min. collie female named Sadie and she is 4 also. My husband (JIM) and I love to ride the 4-wheelers with all the grand kids.
