I do not like horror movies and movies with too much blood and gore. We have several hundred movies, so I'm pretty flexible. I have watched Dances With Wolves about 100 times. I also like The American President, The Fifth Element, Sum of All Fears, Moonstruck and John Waynes' Cowboys.

I like most music except rap and opera. It depends on the kind of mood I am in whether it is country, 70's soft rock, bluegrass or gospel.

The best book that I have ever read was the 'Life Application Study Bible' - New Living Translation version. I read it as my New Millenium resolution in 2000 and I thoroughly recommend it. It is written in high school english and anyone with a grade 9 education can read it. I also read a lot of animal behavior books especially horse books. I really like Mark Rashid's books 'Considering The Horse', 'Horses Never Lie' and 'A Good Horse Is Never a Bad Color'

I have no real favorites but I do enjoy Chinese Food occasionally.

My husband and I raise paint horses in Alberta. He works with the stallions, and I am the mare mid-wife, tail holder, poop scooper, hay deliverer and kindergarten teacher to weanlings. I was raised in the city and spent 17 years in restaurant and retail management in the busy, noisy, crowded mall. Now we enjoy the peaceful quiet of our small farm and a simple life.

Working and learning stuff on my computer.

...And I'm getting kind of partial to my husband after 36 years.

Politicians, lawyers and most bankers.
Flies, mosquitoes, moths and bugs in general.
Rude and hurtful people.
People who mistreat animals.
Chasing dust bunnies, cleaning toilets and doing most Martha Stewart-type stuff.
People who have cell phones stuck to their ears especially when they are driving.

Painting and drawing. I used to do wildlife in oils, mostly elk and deer. Now I do some paintings on skulls when I have time. I enjoy doing a lot of crafts including dream catchers and beaded earrings. I also make good use of our digital camera and enjoy taking pictures.
