We are back home to flatland & cornfields...had a wonderful, relaxing vacation...already missing the mountains! Be sure to check out my gallery for vacation pics, and my vacation blog for a day to day vacation journal! Blessings!

I am 61 years young, very happily married for 6 years to the love of my life and soulmate, David. We are so blessed to have found each other.

We love the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and vacation there every year, hoping one day to move into our own little log home in view of those awesome mountains.

I play flute on the worship team at my church and love giving back to God the talent He has given me. I play the notes, but God makes it music.

I am "retired", but enjoy my little home embroidery business, as long as it doesn't become a "job" !

Sitting in a swing, on the deck of a cabin in the mountains with hubby and a good cup of coffee, soaking up the beauty and peacefulness of Gods' creation; Sunny warm days outside with a glass of iced tea; Smoky Mountain vacations; quiet walks in the woods with hubby; beautiful sunrises and sunsets; the first smells of Spring; the laughter of babies; working in my flower garden; the sound of my windchimes in a gentle breeze; the early morning song of the birds in my yard...

My home is filled with my love of things from the past, old quilts, stoneware crocks, primitive furniture...I even have an "outhouse" in my yard !! ( check my gallery pics)

people who are fake; cold gloomy days; dis-respectful employees at restaurants and other businesses; the lack of morals, manners and consideration for others; packaging that can't be opened without a crowbar; television commercials that use sexual content as a means to sell everything from aspirin to ziti, the "new" size of clothes...this is a LARGE ??

Flower gardening, scrapbooking, machine embroidery and sewing/crafting

In Memory of TexasRose...you will be missed

"Although the threads of my life have often seemed knotted, I know, by faith, that on the other side of the embroidery there is a crown"

Hi Donna, our weather was cold and rainy here yesterday and today we had snow flurries on the way to church and when we came out, not what I wanted to see but I guess it is that time of the year. Take care my dear friend, God bless you, soft hugs, Linda.
