Blog Entry: 2012 - 8 - 16 EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home Ya know, I have decided that country/mountain living ain't for the faint of heart!  Now, there is an understatement if I've ever made one! Last nite was quiet and peaceful for the most part.  I Skyped with Bobbi... she's starting to feel a little better but now the kids and her hubby are coming down with whatever it is.  Well Ratz! Now, a lot of times when Bobbi and I are chatting, we cover a lot of territory from the past.  Do you remember?... how about the time?.... What about this critter or that one?  Well, we started a critter remember.  One of the critters was Peach Blossom, a little girl skunk who had been descented.  Peaches was housebroken... slept under the bed or in one of the closets. Was a nite owl type by choice and would sell her soul for black cherries or chocolate ice-cream. Lolol  Peaches would also get upset if any of her trees, rocks, or shrubs were moved inside the house.  Trees=tablelegs/Pedro's cage.  Rocks=loveseats and permanently located chairs.  Shrubs could be anything from mop bucket to shoes.  More than once, when I would forget to move the mop bucket out of the middle of the hallway, Poor lil Peaches would wake up and while heading for the kitchen, run into a bucket or a clothes basket or or or... She was toooooo cute. Well, after chuckling over our pasts, Bobbi signed off and I got ready for bed.  I played a very simple game I found on Boomerville for a while.  I was just crawling into bed when here comes Stormy. Now, Stormy was all wound up!  Dancing, grinning and woofing at me.  Guess who was sharing a new experience with the MOM!?!  Oh yeah!  Somewhere, either outside or inside the house, Stormy had become acquainted with a skunk and wanted to share the yummy (to her) aroma.  OMG! Oh yuck!  She stunk! And so did the house! Oh man! I start checking the house.  Now, dealing with a wild skunk is a whole lot different than dealing with a slightly tamed skunk.  Didn't have any options... had to go looking!  I read and talk skunk very well (With variations) after having The Peach.  And as sleepy as I was I got tickled at myself.  Nobody else I could think of would be running around the house, hours after dark, looking for a maybe skunk in hiding. I looked but didn't find any strange critters.  But, I didn't check the basement.  I'll just have to wait and see about the basement. Anyway, Bobbi and I Skyped again today.  Lolol I told her about the skunk incident and she cracked up.  Feeling bad or not, she understood.  Lolol We both agreed that the timing of the talk and the incident itself gives one thoughts to ponder. Oh yeah! Take care all of mine; go in safety always.  Remember, good or bad, there's always a reason for things that happen.  Lolol Many hugs... much love and lots of laffter.  Meems
