Blog Entry: There's an empty spot by my side and it's as big as the universe. This has been a sorrow-filled week for me. My precious dog Molly passed away last weekend. She was 14 years old. She was a Shih-tzu poodle mix and only 9 lbs. Because of her tiny size she fit perfectly in any tight spot she wanted to squeeze in to. Mostly that spot was by my side, day and night. I'm forever grateful, for her loyalty, her devotion to me and her friendship. I've never had a pet love me the way she did. I am humbled and grateful. Each day the grief is becoming easier to bear. My prayer was that she would not suffer at the end and I don't believe she did. Our pets give us so much more than we give them and dogs are man's best friend, in the truest sense of the word. I am so thankful for the years I had with her. ♥
