Never Give Up
Posted On 04/14/2013 09:52:19 by oldblueeyes99
I have this beautiful very tall...around 15 feet tall....white lilac tree. It started out being a small cutting from a friend's tree which was all of 25 feet tall. Usually they are called lilac bushes but not in this case. You could smell it from all parts of the yard. So, I planted the cutting and it grew over the years with the same effect. Though I love lilacs I cannot cut them and put them in the house. I get terrible headaches if I do. But I have other lilac bushed of the purple family, so... Read More

Being green.

Checking out at the store, the young cashier suggested to the older woman, that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.

You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.

My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tear... Read More

Winter Is Over
Posted On 04/12/2013 19:25:20 by Ella
Winter is Over   I dug deep in this winter as I pulled out my crocheted covers and soft blankets. My books were dusted off and arranged carefully on many side tables. The cabinets were full of hot chocolate mix and a steaming pot of soup boiled on the stove. I moved from window to window looking and longing for the first snow flake. Time came and went with only a few dustings of snow. Finally, our one deep snow arrived in its entire white angelic splendor. I snuggled beneath my blanket... Read More
