Christmas 1990 Style
Posted On 12/24/2008 18:20:03 by kiwibarb
In 1990 we were living on an island while the rest of the family were on the mainland. Public transport to and from the island consisted of ferries and planes, with a choice between two departure points. Most of the time we didn’t use either, except when going to work. Aloha From Maui on christmas Eve...Two days ago my fort was intact.  Today...Christmas Eve...my son Todd has begun breaking ground to pour foundation for a small extension to be built out here in back for me.  The whole process will probably take a year.  For the next few days I will be sleeping with my animals out under the stars and praying it doesn't rain.  Merry christmas to everyone.  I love you all and thank God each and every day for all the blessings in my life.... One woman I had never met before sat on the floor near the pine Christma... Read More

I look at the christmas tree and see a pile of presents waiting to be opened. The house is quiet and still. It's a gloomy christmas Eve day here. After weeks and weeks of snow-covered ground, mother nature has decided to bring rain for christmas Eve and wash away any chance we had for a white Christmas. Still, there's a feeling of christmas in the air. It's a feeling that you can't put your finger on. It's just another of those mysterious things like deja vu, music and trying to fathom the bound...
