The Unwanted Canine Passenger
Posted On 06/05/2008 02:21:34 by kiwibarb
I am not particularly a dog person. Ever since losing my childhood pet Husky, I have never had a dog of my own, although I have been quite fond of some of my friends' pooches. This is a story of my mother, who was at the time in her 70s, and Buddy, the dog belonging to my neighbours over the back fence. We were not enjoying the downpour. It was raining cats and dogs, but the dog in question did not come down in the last shower, he jumped over the back fence. He was one of those big loping spotte... Read More

This is a poem that was written by a lady I used to dog sit for. She's made it to the semi-finals. Stinker likes to be outside in the mornings and goes with me when I take my poodle MOSES out for his morning walk. Stinker walks a few... Read More

Saturday nights seem to have become bath nights for Teddy, our toy poodle. Not quite sure how this happened but there you are. So yesterday, along came another Saturday night and Teddy dutifully hopped into the shower with hubby. The routine is that one of us washes him, the other dries and last night I was doing the drying. With a peach coloured towel.

Before I go any further, I'd better explain Teddy's routine. Shampoo and rinse in the shower, brisk rub in a towel to get most of th... Read More
