The perils of Daylight Saving Time
Posted On 03/12/2022 14:34:24 by momtocam
This weekend marks the least favorite time of year for me. Can you say TIRED? The bags sure to come under my eyes may go away by the time we do this again in November…but, at least by then, I can catch that lost hour. Time will tell.

I prefer to call it Daylight Insanity Time. It messes with our... Read More

Hen's Teeth
Posted On 05/23/2020 12:33:12 by texasjane
I recently got off a phone call from the senior citizen group where I frequently volunteered until the lock down brought everything to a grinding halt. I got updates on the tenants and all that had been going on since our world got turned upside down. I guess You’ve heard all the speculations of man about how long it took YOU to create our world. I know You c... Read More

I had great intentions to try to write a blog every week. Words are my 'thing' here on The Hill, and I have had very kind responses to my blogs and in private messages! But life got in the way of me having fun on The Hill, so I had to 'disappear' for a bit. My health is good, both of my hands are working well, but I had to be reminded AGAIN, that not all of my activities are somehow connected to my computer. Sigh! The details are boring but I'm going to try again. Today, I'm not going to te... Read More

Dealing With Our Uniforms
Posted On 02/19/2015 23:50:45 by yourchoice
A response to my last blog from Dabbymac reminded me about our introduction to the uniforms we were issued. They were very similar to what she described that her sister wore at her school of nursing in 1953. I started in 1958 and the only difference I noted was that we were not issued capes. We didn't need to go outside in the cold weather because of the underground tunnel that connect our Residence to the hospital. What do I remember most about our uniforms? I should say how proud I was to wear... Read More
