BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Devastation in our neighbourhood ...
Posted On 04/24/2014 14:08:36 by yourchoice
Sometimes we need to have a dramatic experience in our own backyard, to help us understand (in part) of what other people are going through. We had such an experience this last month, while we were vacationing in Great Britain.

I was having a sleepless night in a hotel in England, so I decided to get comfortable on the sofa in our room with my tablet, and do some reading. I didn't want to wake my husband because we had had a busy day of touring in London. But first ... I wondered if there... Read More

I HAVE A QUESTION ... WHY ARE YOU ON NOTH?
Posted On 01/31/2014 00:51:18 by yourchoice
During the last two week, when I have been dealing with a minor health issue (but staying home out of the cold weather), I’ve had time to myself, without interruptions. I never allow myself to be bored; there is ALWAYS something to do. My voice was hardly above a whisper so chatting on the telephone would have been annoying to my friends. Vintage Cars and Old Friends
Posted On 06/03/2013 23:19:08 by yourchoice
The first weekend in June, we were able to attend the annual Three Hills, Alberta Car Cruise, and it was filled with nostalgia ... Vintage cars and long-time friends. Fifty-two years ago, I started my first 'professional' job in a 19-bed hospital in this town. Two years later, I married my best friend ... and we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary in May. We still consider Three Hills to be our 'hometown', and any opportunity we have, we visit with friends and check out any changes on M... Read More

Getting older and Losing Friends
Posted On 03/02/2013 23:53:12 by Margaretmonteleone
I certainly do not mean to bring anyone down but I have to get this out or I will cry all night. This past year (actually almost two years) has been, well...less than good. My life changed drastically, but probably for the better; no, definitely for the better, but that is not why I am here tonight. I graduated high school in 1966.  In this past year, I have lost so many of my classmates that it is staggering.  Just two days ago, I received a message from the son of a girl (see? ... Read More
