BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

S - SOME SPECIAL STITCHES
Posted On 11/24/2017 05:10:09 by yourchoice
Stitches... different forms that I learned to do. Some I mastered, some were terrible, and some I only experienced.Embroidery stitches were common when I was a child. My mother taught me the running stitch, the chain stitch, the French knot (to name a few), and she would iron a stencil design of flowers on a pillow case or a flour sack tea towel to give a personal touch. They were a good place for me to practice what I was learning. My mother also tried to teach me how to knit, the European sty... Read More

E - Ed’s Enjoyable Evenings
Posted On 08/10/2017 02:52:58 by yourchoice
We’ve had a great summer… at home. The health challenges that both my husband and I experienced this spring seem to have “given up”, and we’re doing well. We’ve experienced a late spring, a few weeks of very hot summer days with no rain, and massive forest fires in the Rocky Mountains that send us lots of smoke. We’ve enjoyed house guests, short weekend trips to the town where Ed and I met 55 years ago, to visit very dear friends, and some city guys who often come to visit with E... Read More

K – Knitting for the Kids

There was always a project or two started and needing to be finished; woolen work socks for the men, warm scarves for the ladies, and mitts fo... Read More

Chatting pays off ... sometimes!
Posted On 08/07/2014 22:43:22 by yourchoice

Today has been my day at home before our planned weekend of fun ... at least fun for my hubby. I had to keep my attention on my To-Do List, because even the 'normal' activities here have been neglected. Summers are a busy time and we still have another month to go before the children are back to school.
Our plans for the weekend are to attend the 45th Annual Show and Reunion at Pioneer Acres in Irricana, Alberta. Being that I'm married to a 'tractor man',... Read More

Happy is the man who ...
Posted On 06/18/2013 23:29:59 by yourchoice
Happy is the man who finally has tires on his tractor. This has been my husband's winter project, and he's almost finished. The next step is to get a bit of fuel in the tank, to see if they can get this John Deere started. If you would like to see the progress that has been accomplished, thanks to several buddies who were so helpful in the project, click on the picture above. Now they are encouraging Ed to enter it in a community antique impliment parade. I haven't heard when that would be ...... Read More
