BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

What's to Celebrate?
Posted On 03/12/2015 13:23:18 by yourchoice
It didn't take long for our class to come up with any excuse to have a celebration. We didn't have much money but we sure could have a lot of fun. We would celebrate the end of exam week, the end of a night shift, the end of a happy date, and not to mention anyone's birthday (no cake available, but we had a great supply of cinnamon toast decked with at least one wooden match). There were 91 girls in my class, and we lived together, worked together, and partied together, and when needed, there was always a shoulder to cry on. It didn’t take very long for us newbies to develop a real ‘sisterhood’.We ate... Memories of a Student Nurse – The First Week
Posted On 02/18/2015 07:07:22 by yourchoice
It is over 50 years since I was a student nurse, but many events have been tucked away in a ‘safe place’ in my mind, assisted by the class reunions that we had every five years. Some years ago, when I was working as a medical transcriber, I was often asked by staff nurses about my experiences as a student nurse. They were university educated, with limited practical experience during their education, and were interested what it was like to live in a nurses’ residence at the hospital for thre... Read More
