We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Time Out For The Hooker
Posted On 08/26/2023 13:27:56 by yourchoice
It has been several months since you have heard from me, and I must break my silence now, to let you know that I’m still breathing. It has been quite a time for us… most of it have been happy times. We’ve dealt with some health issues, have tried to be disciplined enough to follow any instructions that have been given, and be thankful for every day that we are still able to enjoy in our country home. Our neighbors have been warned that as long as we both have our driver’s licenses, they... Read More

Celebrating Still Works...

Our Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone, November has arrived, and we've just experienced our first snowstorm of the season. It has been quite a year, and Christmas is just around the corner. What happens when its time again to celebrate your birth date. Are you as excited about it as you once were? Are you disappointed because the family didn’t come up with a ‘surprise’ party like they did ten years ago? I hope you answered ‘NO’ to both of those questions, and have filled your heart and mind with grateful and thankful thoughts… for another day, for loving family and friends, and acceptance of the challenges that all of us are experiencing this year. September was m... Read More

A Duck Named Thanksgiving
Posted On 11/17/2020 19:14:23 by texasjane
My uncle was a quiet-spoken man.  He was a wood floor specialist.  He did everything from installing to repairing wood floors.  He was sought after throughout half the state.  He had a crew that did out of town jobs.  He took care of the ones close to home.  He was forever taking barter instead of money for his services.  One spring day he brought home a baby ducklet... is that a word?  Anyway, it was small, yellow and fuzzy.  It quacked a lot. ...
