BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.
We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Even though we still have a month to go before the first day of winter, we are experiencing below zero days this month. we are never quite prepared for such days, even though we understand that it is almost inevitable in our area. For those who wonder how we can tolerate such cold weather, we ask the same question to those who live in tropical areas. In the north, we dash from one warm or heated location to another, as quickly as possible, just as in hot weather, the rush is from one cool or air... Read More

I dearly love to smell the sm... Read More

These winds that come from the west and over the Rocky Mountains are a great reprieve during the winter, but for those of us who a... Read More
Mama washed clothes on the back porch with an old wringer washing machine .The water was drawn from a well and heated on the stove in the kitchen. The washer had to be full of hot water. There were two wash tubs for rinsing. If you are familiar with the way the washers worked you know that it would agitate until you were ready to stop it.The clothes were then picked up from the hot soapy water and fed through the wringer coming out into the first rinse tub which had warm w...
