2014*5*13 Tuesday EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS
Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! Get your buns in here and make yourselves to home. Coffee's hot or you can have some tea.
Facebook asks what's on my mind...what I've been doing. OMG! First and foremost, I HATE puters! I.E. is not far behind! The April 9th change has been driving me crazy... (A grumpy here!...I am not a happy puter camper! It, xp was not broken at my end anyway. So I.E. drops it???? I cannot and will not buy another puter because their sales are/were down!) You may quote me and use my name on this one!
Now for some really bad stuff...
Guess who is now hanging their shoes from the ceilings... Stacking anything stackable up high on chairs, tables, desks...keeping my bare feet up too????? I am out of my mind! I've told Anna to kick my buns up to my shoulder bladesThen to kick my buns into the nearest funny farm!
Friends like her are hard to find... I now have a little boy dog named Clyde and a little girl pup named Bonnie... Thank you, Anna. See I told you she is a bad influence! They needed a good (?) home and I needed a replacement for my girl, Stormy, who disappeared about a month ago now.
(F from what I understand, Mr. A, the baddy guy, is now in jail for sumfin else... ) Storms moving in,,, later all...
Take care and go in safety always...Remember that no matter how strange, a friend is still a friend...
Many hugs, lots of love and bunches of laffter... Meems, The TerMOMinator

                2014*3*23*Sunday EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home. Get yourselves in here and grab a snack or sumfin. Coffee is fresh and hot.

Yup, I'm on my first cuppa for today. I am grumpy as all get out. Can you say :playing with the ticks? Sheesh... I should also mention that I am lumpy too. Trust me, you wouldn't want to see any selfies today! I have itchy hives all over. Yeah, I'm taking my meds and stuff but I am still allergic! lololol Ya know, this is the first time in my life I can remember ticks being active all winter long. There weren't as many as we would have during the summer months but, ticks active during below zero temps is a thing of wonder to ponder. And No Marv, I don't have anything better to do with my time! lolol

The kitten has disappeared. Damn! Missing for two days. He was so cute and talkie. I've looked everywhere... I dunno! Sometimes it's hard living on the edge of a forest which is filled with wild critters. But, it is a part of the world we live in.

Wowser, the sun is out! Was just about to give up on ever seeing it again. lolol What with the cold and snowies and icies and stuff! The Easter Flowers are up. The lilacs are budding. and the front is covered with this low growing green stuff... I think it's called grass. Then there's the red clay mud the bigger dogs keep rolling and bringing in. Anybody want a muddy dog? How bout 2 muddies?

Here's a statement of fact! You'll know it's Spring when all mine (cops) start going in foot pursuit! Truth! lolololol Gotchq kids!

Now that I've dug myself into a very deep hole in the ground, I think I'd better get busy. Take care all of mine, go in safety always. Remember to be careful when doing the laundry. You can get yourself into a lot of trouble just waiting for the spin cycle to start!

Many hugs...much love...and lots of laffter...especially at yourself. Meems, the TerMOMinator

                2014*3*16 Monday * EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home. Git in here! ! ! What in the world are you doing out in this kind of weather?? Ice is still covering every tree... everything above 5 feet from ground level! Sheesh! Freezing rain and FOG! Yes, freezing fog!
According to Anna, the roads are clear at her place. I, however, don't even dare to go out the front door...About a quarter of an inch of ice but, none, NONE, on the power or phone lines. Crazy weather... I'd march off to Storm God Central but on a day like today, they'd probably throw lightning bolts at me.... another Sheesh here. lolol

It's been another rough week, critter-wise. Lila has disappeared...been gone for several days now. And, I only have one kitten left. Have no idea why but the other 3 went over the rainbow bridge. I tried, Honestly, I tried.

However, I now have a mouthy lil kitten climbing up the front of my old t-shirt. Can you say ouchie! BIG TIME OUCHIE! Oh well, what's a mother to do...? Get the nail trimmers... them lil claws hurt!

Oh, I just checked... Kitten is lil boy... I think I'll call him George. He is now sitting on my shoulder.... oh boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Squalling in my good ear.....lololol Ain't life grand?

Pix below... first one is to Sherri's attention..petroglyph. So called tar-burning stone. 2nd is a 'trick of the eye'...optical illusion. Third is the boyfriend calling for attention. You ladies know how these guys get, come Spring. lololol

Well, some good news here... SSA has ''forgiven'' the balance of my alleged overpayment. Thank God. I've gotten most of the mailings done but now, I need to start on the Income Tax papers.... Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! and an added sheesh here! lolol

Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember when all else fails, take a nap or contact the Marv. One or the other will always make problems look a little smaller.

Many hugs, much love. and lots of laffter... meems the TerMOMinator

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! Get in here and warm up! Boots over by the door, please.

I have no idea why some things happen... just seems like they do. I don't remember if I told y'all about using the rake and curry comb on the bedroom floor... not that it needed it. (green eyes attack here!) Hours I spent on this daggoned carpet! All clean and I finally moved the new/bot on sale filing cabinet to the extension on the puter set up.

Well, yesterday I started on the filing of all this paperwork I have scattered all over. (Am I allowed to call my bedroom a place of business???) And I am getting a little old to sit on the floor for hours at a time. It's not the sittin', it's the gittin' up! Sheesh! And I best not be hearing any 'old person' remarks, ya hear me?

Anyhow, I can now see the top of the printer and have found all kinds of junk/forgotten items hiding behind the screen. Trust me, that is a great improvement!

OK, so by the time I got all this done, the freezing rain, snow and sleet had reached a depth of 5 3/4"... three of the wrecking crew had been outside for several hours. I had called and whistled and yelled several time... nothing. I was starting to get fretful... ''where in the hell are they?''

Keep in mind now, the cleaned office/bedroom. There I stand at the open back door.. whistling and calling and HERE THEY COME!

Around the cabinet that I use to block the wind from the storm door. Here comes Homer, just a flying! Zooms into-through the kitchen-down the hall to the bedroom. Then here comes the Stormy and the Houdi!

Same thing but they do stop for a moment to give me the pack greeting. OMG!!!! From their eyebrows to their shoulders... covered, and I do mean covered, with red clay mud! I'm not even gonna' ask!

Anyway, down the hall they go... and I know where they are gonna end up...Arghhh! On my bed! Oh yeah! Homer, I later discovered, had ice on his belly fur... Well, at least it thinned the mud when it melted. Notice middle pic...Stormy seems to be wearing Egyptian type wig of mud.

Guess that's it for the moment. Take care all of mine, go in safety always. Remember to thank all of ours who have been freezing their buns off in this cold keeping our roads clear and our homes electrified. Seriously kids... THANX

Many hugs...much love and lots of lafter meems the TerMOMinator

Sheesh! Get in here and dry off/out! Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

If I sound more than a little grumpy, just dont' pay any attention! But, trust me, I ain't gonna share my almost gone Reesy cups. Anything else? Just help yourselves.

Well, I got the bills paid and out to the mail box. I forgot today was Sunday. Was thinking it was Saturday. My mind is gone... teetotally gone! Well, I always did have trouble with ''time''. Shut up, Marv! Another thing...my emails are sooooooo screwed up. So is my phone... Would you believe that I live at the end of the line for puters, phones, mail and tv? Yup, I sure do.

Now, to the weather! Another sheesh! it's pouring rain and has been all day. I now have fresh water streams running down slope on the East side of the house. (I decided to save on the water bill and shower outside...TOOOO cold! [I just made this last line up!]) lololol Would this nice lil old lady do sumfin like that? Would these loverly greens....???????

Anna keeps telling me this weather is allllll my fault because I went to Storm God Central and "stirred chit..." Well, maybe, maybe not. But I sure can tell I got Their attention for a bit! lolol

Here's a really neat thing... don't have pix yet but the kittens were at the door of the closet yesterday. Lilah takes a trip outside and leaves me to babysit. lololol Well, I got spit, hissed, scratched and squalled at by all 4 of them... Too funny... them's gonna take out this old giantess! Best part yet... the lil black and white kit has no tail! None! Nada! Zilch on the tail! I know... awwwwww! I have a really odd mix of feral cats out back. One is marked like a Siamese on the right side and a blotchy white mix on the other. Yeah, I've thot about breeding for color but decided not to... Just appreciating the mixes I am seeing and letting it go at that.

Finally found the pic of the Wasps' nest... It is empty right now but I leave it strictly alone. It is larger than a football. Lots of critters lived there this past summer and fall.

Take care all of mine..go in safety always. Remember to let nothing go to waste... use it or give to someone who can.

                2014*2*25*Tuesday EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS...MAYBE?

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home. Grab some coffee and stuff and come sit in the sun with me for a while. The SUN!! Fourth time in a week of days! I guess if you complain at Storm God Central often enuf, they will give you a break.

Anyhow, it's been crazy, hectic and maddening lately...and them's the good days. It's been a while since I contacted my brats. The Marv is gonna' disown me (I wouldn't be that lucky altho he did say we were disengaged now.. just because I won't give back my diamond engagement planet!) Sherry is gonna write me out of her next story; Bobbi has already thrown her hands up in the air and walked away (to get a pop).

And then , Allan, Bill, Becky and the Marv ganged up on me last week. Well, Brats! Let me tell y'all I have a long memory about some things and I ain't gonna' forget this'un! Ya hear me?

Oh, back to the sunshine for a minute...I was out front, splashy colored caftan and an old warm plaid pocketed robe...robe is comfy too. Anyway, I was out there with the camera.. took some pix of the wasps' nest in the maple..all sunlit. The critters were playing doggy gotcha and tag out there. Lilah and I sat on the Seat Stone out by the little pond to watch and try not to get run over by the four Wild Ones. lololol Saw bunches of them BBSBs up there making X marks the spot overhead.

Yeah, I waved, blew kisses and even curtsied a couple of times. I got flashed too. I guess my g/gs had given up on me being out there. Hot muggies all summer and then cold slippery from fall til now. And then there's been all the fun and games with SSA. That has been a real bummer...and really long lasting... still playing with it. Again, it's the "System" NOT the people who work there. And I've decided as bad as dispatching could be at times, there are worse jobs... a lot worse!

I mentioned taking some pix. Well, I've uploaded them but do you think I can find them? AAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!! lololol No memory, me, and a very short attention span! lololol

Take care all of mine... go in safety always. Remember to remember ''this too shall pass'' if we work hard enuf during the bad times.

Many hugs, much love and a bundle of laffter every day. Meems, the TerMOMinator

                AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGH! ! ! !

I HATE kids, cats (kittens), dogs, husbands, horses, Storm God Central, mules, frozen roads and certain un-named gov agencies! Is that it? Hmmm, I think so...maybe!

Now, Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! Cold wet heavy rain overnite! Rain is wet? Get in here and warm up. The creek out back is just a roarin'! I've been up and down all nite! Critters in, critters out. Delilah is having her kittens in the warm dog cage on the back porch. Normally she has them in one of the closets.. NOT this time! Dog cage, then inside to check for a kitten that might have been birthed inside! A kitten was squalling out back when she would leave. OMG!

Now, this is new stuff for the Homer. He has become the self-designated animal control unit and keeper of the kingdom. Delilah comes in; Homer goes out and climbs in the cage. Lilah wants back out? I open door....here comes Homer, out goes Lilah! I can't help but say ''awwww'' and feel comforted by my critters. I also crack up...It's obvious to me that I don't have enuf to do to keep me busy. lolololl

Here's a scary one for y'all! The Marv checked in on me several times and was even nice occasionally! lolol Now, if THIS behaviour continues, I am taking up permanent residence in the fall out shelter... I think he is trying to con me out of the ''diamond planet'' that he gave me for our engagement! LOLOL Hey Brat, are we still engaged or not? I'm never quite sure of my status what with the emails being so slow.

And then there's the G'cutter. Bless his heart, he drove out here and up the ice covered road to bring me some groceries and CHOCOLATE! My fav's reese cups. Came out all this way to check on me and to make sure I was all right. The neighbor down the road works with the G'cutter and must have told him about the heat being off.

Pix below... there is something to be said for having re-usable 'selfies' lololol

Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to complain mightily and then look for the humor each day!

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

Get your buns in here...warm up and dry off! Sheesh! Nasty day out there... Just started a little bit ago and still piling up. Have 1/4" of snow, sleet, freezing rain on the ground and more coming down. 30 deg and some wind. Was heavy rain most of the nite!

The following may offend some, so I am giving fair warning. I am really *ISSED! After dark, Stormy went off in a rage out back! The rest went flying to the back door. I grabbed the .38 and went flying after them. Didn't bother to grab my coat. Out we went! I watched the dogs closely. Watched them run to the far back fence... by the 35' drop off section above the creek. That's where I headed... No walking stick for balance problems, no coat/hypothermic a few days ago.

Well, I found this little pup... maybe 3 months or so. Light brown color. It had backed itself into a pile of brush and weeds... was terrified and growling at the bigger dogs! Little boy or girl, I don't know. Just so scared! I tried to pull the fencing up to make an escape gap. Not strong enuf. Well, damn!

I turn around and start the up-slope climb to the back porch. I call Anna! Beg for help with critter... I didn't ask if they were busy, nothing. ON their way! I went out on back porch to keep track of little critter. Still no coat... Just me and the .38.

I hear Anna and El coming up the hill. When I could see them at the lower curve, I came back in the house... grabbed my heavy coat this time and went in the rain to meet them out back. Anna brot her wire cutters and slit the fence... opened a gap so pup could come thru. They pulled more weeds and cover near and around the critter cause we couldn't get to it. Gave it food but had to leave it out back overnite. Weather conditions were just too treacherous to try to go around the fencing.

NOW, when the time comes that I trundle over the 'rainbow bridge' - and should I get to the pearly gates, I am going to ask the Creator to do me a favor. To make a special place in Eternity for ALL abusers of the innocents! And for the Creator to please put me in charge of the punishment detail! NO, I am not kidding!

Now, go in safety all mine... Take care. Remember to take care of earth's critters and the land. This is the only planet we have!

Much love, many hugs... a little laffter each day... meems, the TerMOMinator

                GROUNDHOG'S DAY!!!!! GO, HOGGY PHIL, GO! ! ! ! !

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home. Get in here and park alongside me and watch the Weather Channel. Been watching and cracking up since 0430 hrs. I've decided that Jim Cantore is my HERO! (Wonder if he's interested in older women?) lolol I am having the best time right now! And, I'll have you all know, that I have my very own GroundHog critter living just down stream from my back yard...so there!

Cantore is wearing a groundhog hat! I am on the floor! We need more laffter in our lives.

Let's see here. Anna is grumping at me and blaming me for the bad/cold temps. It seems to have something to do with my ''weather beds" needing to be flipped over and shaken. I need to ponder on this. Any suggestions from out there in cyber-space?

Another thing, I called Richmond Post to volunteer. No, I wasn't gonna go out and shovel roadways but I did offer to take in any critters, large or small, that might need shelter during this severe weather. Right now, I have 3 bales of hay stacked against the front of the house...hay on porch.... acts as a windbreak and shelter from the worst of the weather it's often used by the feral cats. I even have birds nests on the house and under the ceiling on the front porch. I do enjoy and love my critters.

Later everybody... hugs and love... meems, the TerMOMinator
