Here's a little retirement info for you:
If you had purchased $1,000 of Delta Air Lines stock one year ago you would have $49 left.
With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1,000.
With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5 left.
But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all of the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminium recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.

Nyos is a deep lake high on the flank of an inactive volcano in the Oku volcanic plain along the Cameroon line of volcanic activity. A natural dam of volcanic rock hems in the lake waters. A pocket of magma lies beneath the lake and leaks carbon dioxide (CO2) into the water, changing it into carbonic acid. Nyos is one of only three known lakes to be saturated with carbon dioxide in this way, the others being Lake Monoun, at a distance of 100 km SSE, and Lake Kivu in Rwanda. On 21 August 1986, possibly triggered by a landslide, the lake suddenly emitted a large cloud of CO2, which suffocated 1,700 people and 3,500 livestock in nearby villages.[1] Though not completely unprecedented, it was the first known large-scale asphyxiation caused by a natural event. To prevent a repetition, a degassing tube was installed in 2001, though additional tubes are needed to make the lake safe.[2] Today, the lake also poses a threat due to its weakening natural wall. A geological tremor could cause this dike to give way, allowing water to rush into downstream villages all the way into Nigeria.
Sound right to you it does to me I always wondered what would happen if a large amount of Co2 escaped all at once and now I know . we are sitting on top of earth quake city in the USA and we want to put Co2 under ground in huge amounts . so a rock moves and it all gets out into the air , the people around the area will simply die of nothing to breath except Co2. we had better write our leaders and tell them to wake up!
  Dear Climate Clinic Subscriber: When we launched "The Mysterious Climate Project" last May, little did we realize our subscriber base would grow to over 100,000 members, in 24 countries across the globe, within a year. And all that in spite of our website being hacked four times and Comcast interfering with our E-mail capabilities. But after all is said and done, nothing beats persistence... And a lot of wonderful subscribers! Several members opened their T1 lines for our major mailings while still others offered their high speed Internet connections for responding to new subscribers. Although an inconvenient way to operate, it’ll have to do until AT&T finishes dragging their high speed fiber optics into our neck of the woods. Then, like so many others, we will be dropping Comcast like a hot potato! In the meantime, Gore announced a $300 million advertising campaign to convince Americans of global warming threats, but put the campaign on hold because of the cold weather; sunspot activity has all but come to a screeching halt and according to many scientists, it may portend the beginning of global cooling, and amazingly, NASA has reported ocean temperatures have mysteriously cooled and no one knows where the heat went. The Arctic has seen the largest addition of ice in years; the Antarctic has set records in ice accumulation in spite of one small piece cracking off a peninsula (described as the equivalence of a three inch diameter by six inch long icicle breaking off the gutter on a 156,500 square foot roof); the polar bear population continues to grow from the 5,000 found in the ‘70s to over 25,000 today, and the head of the IPCC has openly stated that something isn't going as predicted. Over 500 scientists and researchers engaged in climate change met in New York to voice the increasing dissent in the scientific community over politicizing climate change; 61 Canadian climate experts sent an letter to their Prime Minister requesting open hearings on the issue; 103 climate scientists sent a letter to the UN’s Secretary General over the folly in attempting to mitigate global warming, and over 19,000+ American scientists have signed the Oregon Petition, which urges policy makers to reject Gore’s demands for engaging in Kyoto and similar treaties, and the UN continues to refuse divulging the names of the “vast number” of scientists allegedly supporting their global warming claims. In spite of media hype, the global warming agenda is looked on with growing skepticism as evidenced by the recent “Earth Hour” flop, Great Brittan’s inability to give away matching funds for the installation of “carbon saving” devices, high schoolers placing websites on the ‘net calling global warming a fraud, and a growing number of educators using “The Mysterious Climate Project” as suggested reading. As tons of money, careers, and reputations rest on the global warming issue, the media has become very quiet, the shrill of most promoters in the scientific community have become strangely silent, corporations poised to reap billions through sales of devices designed to mitigate global warming have been pulling in their horns, and many true environmentalists have begun openly criticizing global warming proponents for adding to the destruction of our resources and forcing famine and death on the unfortunates of the world. On his part, Gore has acknowledged extensive holdings in “green” companies such as Amyris (biofuels), Altra (biofuels), Bloom Energy (solid oxide fuel cells), Mascoma (cellulosic biofuels), GreatPoint Energy (catalytic gasification), Miasole (solar cells), Ausra (utility scale solar panels), GEM (battery operated Cars), Smart (electric cars), and AltaRock Energy (geothermal power). In addition, Gore is a co-founder and officer in a carbon trading firm based in England, and a co-founder of an investment fund specializing in sustainable development. It sure looks like a topsy turvy world, but as we continue with “The Mysterious Climate Project” all of the above will be documented and provided to you in the form of “Special Updates.” But first, we’ll get back on track and finish the first part of the series: understanding our climate. Dr. Edward Wegman--former chairman of the Committee on Applied and Theoretical Statistics of the National Academy of Sciences--demolishes the famous "hockey stick" graph that launched the global warming panic. Dr. David Bromwich--president of the International Commission on Polar Meteorology--says "it's hard to see a global warming signal from the mainland of Antarctica right now." Prof. Paul Reiter--Chief of Insects and Infectious Diseases at the famed Pasteur Institute--says "no major scientist with any long record in this field" accepts Al Gore's claim that global warming spreads mosquito-borne diseases. Prof. Hendrik Tennekes--director of research, Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute--states "there exists no sound theoretical framework for climate predictability studies" used for global warming forecasts. Dr. Christopher Landsea--past chairman of the American Meteorological Society's Committee on Tropical Meteorology and Tropical Cyclones--says "there are no known scientific studies that show a conclusive physical link between global warming and observed hurricane frequency and intensity." Dr. Antonino Zichichi--one of the world's foremost physicists, former president of the European Physical Society, who discovered nuclear antimatter--calls global warming models "incoherent and invalid." Dr. Zbigniew Jaworowski--world-renowned expert on the ancient ice cores used in climate research--says the U.N. His view now: "The cause of this climate change is unknown." Dr. Richard Lindzen--Professor of Meteorology at M.I.T., member, the National Research Council Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, says global warming alarmists "are trumpeting catastrophes that couldn't happen even if the models were right." Dr. Habibullo Abdussamatov--head of the space research laboratory of the Russian Academy of Science's Pulkovo Observatory and of the International Space Station's Astrometria project says "the common view that man's industrial activity is a deciding factor in global warming has emerged from a misinterpretation of cause and effect relations." Dr. Richard Tol--Principal researcher at the Institute for Environmental Studies at Vrije Universiteit, and Adjunct Professor at the Center for Integrated Study of the Human Dimensions of Global Change, at Carnegie Mellon University, calls the most influential global warming report of all time "preposterous . . . alarmist and incompetent." Dr. Sami Solanki--director and scientific member at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany, who argues that changes in the Sun's state, not human activity, may be the principal cause of global warming: "The sun has been at its strongest over the past 60 years and may now be affecting global temperatures." Prof. Freeman Dyson--one of the world's most eminent physicists says the models used to justify global warming alarmism are "full of fudge factors" and "do not begin to describe the real world." Dr. Eigils Friis-Christensen--director of the Danish National Space Centre, vice-president of the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy, who argues that changes in the Sun's behavior could account for most of the warming attributed by the UN to man-made CO2. And many more, all in Lawrence Solomon's devastating new book, The Deniers These are scientists that are experts on the weather and they all dispute mr. cores claim of man made warming and also dispute that we are warming now ,. it ended ten years ago weather has cycles and always has Gore is just using the ups and downs of weather to feather his own nest .

Where to start is a problem as I don;t want to drag this out that much , but I feel it is a story that needs to told so I will attempt it.
One wonders why we are in the place we are in at any given point to say "why me Lord Why me" and I sure most people have said that at one time or another . Now we start the story it is a story about two people who were starting life over again in their 50's . We had three children apiece when we met and to say as little about that as possible it was a trial for us both , through loving each other as much as any one could we held together and raised them the rest of the way up. Now My wife has a son , he is not socially acceptable in to days world, he is more like today a twelve year old in a forty year old body , he is a good guy but lacks some adult themed ways. He became involved with a woman who we know now was a child abuser and a pervert she seduced him and they had a child . and this child, chiildrens services took away from her at birth and she got them on the weekends with the other 4 children she had . Now the son was barred from ever seeing his own child because he was defensive of the mom and the children when the social workers came around , I will continue on later but I must run for now . it is worth the wait I think? We just wanted to be be able to see the new grandaughter and so we went to a court date that the woman had in a county I won't name as I have some bad things to say about this county later. we talked to the case worker and told her we were interested in seeing the baby which was two then , she set up some visits at the next court date . we got her on the week ends . and we noticed that the womans mother the childs maternal grand mother had custody of the child . the first time that the grandmother came to pick up the child after our visit the child would cling to my wife and would not let go, it was heart wrenching to go though this every time after that . as time passed we realized we needed a lawyer so we got one . the child started talking and acting out sexual things and at one time she had four marks on her thigh that looked as though someone had pushed a fork into her skin to leave a mark . she told us that ernie the step dad had poked her there to keep her quiet and we were to find that as time went on this would get worse . we at one time decided to not take her back as we now had her for 5 days a week and the mother had her overnights on the week ends and we were held in contempt , this is when we found out our lawyer had been playing patty cake with the county and was going along with what ever they wanted , so to represent us in this matter we got a lawyer away from that county from the one we were in and we were found innocent by way of protecting the child . this court and the childrens services were involved in a adoption scheme and I could not prove it but it was apparent that that was going on here. will write more later . Back again we ask ourselves what is my purpose in life , all one has to do is wait around and it will become apparent . We spent so much time in the court room we thought we had a vacation home there. this court looked at us as intruders ,interupters of a deal gone bad , they would not see the 10 20 thousand come their way for this child and they knew we were not going away. Going to my step son a little , he had been barred by the courts from seeing his own daughter and they had done a charactor assasination on him and we paid another lawyer for him to get to see his child , I don't know what she did I can only guess , but I think she told the court that she could go two ways with this and one was to file charges of violation of his civil rights, in ten minutes she had visitation rights for the frather of the child . The other lawyer had put this off time and time again and now he had a right to see his own daughter,. a very emotional time for all of us . over 6 years and nothing was happening and now with a new lawyer and another we were making head way . I have corrected some misstakes here but I am tired and will continue this story later . I am, not a good writter so bear with me . Back again and what a soap opera , we are at a time in this that the courts actually wanted rid of all of this and we agreed to have counse3ling and if the Mother would have counseling to find out if it was in the best intersts of the child for the visits to resume so we went to our counsleling the very first month and we waited and waited on the mother and after a year of waiting we decided to file for adoption , this would be done in a county seperate from the one in the beginning , She showed up and told the judge she wanted a free lawyer (she had a free one for eight years ) and she was refused this time ,so the court date was set and when we went to the court she said she had proof she had contact with the child before the year was up , mmm? I never seen any in over a year and she also told the judge she had letters to prove it that we sent to her . I told our lawyer she had no letters as we had not sent any . and she had letters she had sent indicating that they were returned, so the judge gave her a week to bring her evidence in . I said to our lawyer she will go home and write these letters out because she had no copies or other wise . well we had a deposition (thank God for these) they do come to the truth in a lot of ways . so far we have spent about $40,000 dollars on this night mare . we will continue at a later time & come back for the update, the out come is great ! Back again and the end is close , bear with me . We went o court in a different county and we had a hearing and then the mother had her chance to present evidence and she did but it was all bogus ,she was trapped in the deposition and we had out lawyer confront her in court abolut the letters and she was cought in a lie , which is not good in front of the judge , her knees started going up and down and she became disoriented and she could only say one lie after another from saying she completed her counseling to writting letters she was a mess , this time she was denied a free lawyer as she was employed , the woman never attended the required counseling but we had papers showing we did , she had not proof that she had attempted to see her daughter . the 30 days has long been past for an appeal so we are finished, after 8 long years in court we have her as a daughter and she is thrilled that she will not have to ever be tormented by her real mother. The best part is she is alive and just eat up with life , she wants to do everything and we have tried to let her have that as much as possible . It shows in that we have two cats , a dog and two rabbits and a fish tank . she wants more but we have to limit it to what we have at the present and she understands that . we do not let her have everything she wants, we do not want to spoil her but she has recovered from a life of torment to a life of living and love and care . I would spend all that I had to save her and make her safe from now until adult hood . She is ten now and the years will go by quickly and she will be a responsible adult ready to take on the world . She has been on the honor roll all four quarters for as long as she has been in school, I don't look for that to change .
