Good morning. Happy Saturday. I opened my windows this morning to get some fresh air into the house. The temperature in the house is not really too bad. I think about 73° F. However, I have been hearing rumors of pollen and other things in the air that never seemed to bother me at an earlier age. I suspect that some of those alien things now have an effect on me. Nothing serious. Just something to let you know that you are alive and subject to things out of your control. I got out yesterday for a nice walk and then I went to church. That was it for the day as far as doing anything. In either case, while at church I had a chance to become an art critic. I went over and took some pictures of the new mosaic which I am including in my newsletter this morning. It actually looks better than my picture. I don't exactly have a camera without mirrors so consequently it loses something in the translation. I have nothing planned for today. I will be getting out for a walk in approximately an hour from my keystroke of the computer. I am hoping to visit every web site on the Internet over the weekend. I will also be attending the obligatory Mass later in the day. I would much rather go to church during the week than the weekend for several reasons but in either case, that may be it for the day. Good morning. For the last few days I have been inundated with something from another planet. First it was a cough and then some things I was not able to put my finger on, and now, a minor sore throat so far. I was planning on going to the space station but that plan is off the table. I shall persevere. It is Friday the eve of the weekend, so for people who have a life, enjoy yourself. Yesterday, because of the rain and so forth, I did not go for my exercise. Remember when we were children, and yes............. I was a child. This is how we watched television lying down. My mother did not approve but as long as I did not do it with the living room console TV she looked the other way. My dad thought it would create eye strain.

A side note to one of the pics I published. I am certain you know the story of THE LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, the TV show and a book. In either case, the cast, having a reunion, took a cruise on this paddlewheeler the day after I took the picture and published it. I wonder if they are not some of my readers.

Good morning. I believe a dinosaur is in my house. It awoke me at 2 and I can not return to dreamland. As a matter of fact, it is continuing to this very keystroke. I feel the day is lost. If I had not vowed to take to the streets in the middle of the night, I would be out in the safety of the streets right now. In either case, I persevere. Good morning. Today I celebrate two anniversaries. First Communion on Mother's Day; Confirmation on Mother's Day; both in the distant past. Even though they are different dates, both were Mother's Day and so I celebrate them on the holiday rather than the specific date. Seems like yesterday though it was when Nero was President of Italy. Good morning. Happy HUMP DAY. After getting caught in the torrential downpour with lightning yesterday, I am hoping for better today. The percentages are with me all day. My socks are still wet hanging on a chair. Fortunately I have a lot of them though for some reason use the ones with holes. Once again........ I can't throw things away. A review of yesterday in case you missed it. I took a nice walk. Consolidated things with picking up some bananas. Then I went to the bank for something and had a problem remembering the person I wanted to see there and so retreated until another day. I then ordered a new camera and it could not be shipped to my zip code so I had to go and pick it up. It came in a million parts in the box. Rather than persevere, I took it back. Encountered a traffic jam but survived. Tonight I had sardines and crackers as a penance. Earlier today, because of a bulky robe, I damaged my coffee carafe. I do not have a spare any longer and thus am at the mercy of Walmart online as they no longer carry it in the store. Humbug!
Good morning. Yesterday my last of the original carafes I bought in the 1990s expired. My own fault knocking it on the floor. I used it the rest of the day but by the end of the day, it was obvious there was some damage by the residual leaking of coffee. I shall miss both of these carafes. The trouble is no one is carrying them in the store. If you want to buy one, you have to order it online. I bought these at Walmart and they have prolonged the life of my coffee makers to no end. I imagine I will eventually buy another one but I will go into a decent time period of requiem in honor of these assistants of this writer. I say to them now. see you on the other side. Good morning. Calendar pages changed on all calendars yesterday in a pre-emptive move heralded by all of my neighbors. May Day is celebrated today. It used to be something to honour the working class and commemorate their struggles for fair wages and better working conditions. Now it is a military parade for the communist nations around the world. Years ago the Catholic church made it a feast day for St Joseph the Worker to honor the people who worked. Good morning. The last day of the month. Time to get ready to change the calendar pages. I depressed myself and went and looked at lawn mowers yesterday. I thought I found someone to fix mine but so far he has not returned the call. Actually he has but I was not there to receive it. It probably would not have worked as he would probably want me to pay him. Now someone said the guy who lives next to me has a host of lawn mowers and maybe he would sell me one. Of course that would involve an argument on how much he would want for one of them. I used to like buying and selling and the vitriol involved with this. Not any more. It would not look good on my résumé for sainthood upon completion of my journey on this side of the curtain. Waiting for the light to go for the exercise. Have a reasonable day. Happy Saturday. I woke up at 2 this morning with some inconvenience with my tooth, or maybe it is the gum. In either case, I do not like it. I have a dental appointment in about a month so I will have to tread water if it is not the end of the world. These things always happen on the weekend or the eve of the weekend. Well, as they told me about the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, meditate. I am planning on Walmart this morning for an emergency trip for eggs. It has been raining all night and the neighbor is building an ark. I believe by six the rain will have stopped for a few hours and I shall release a dove to see if the water has receded from the surface of the ground.
