Judy just brought in  a few groceries..prices keep going up and up..
A bag of 3 avocados were $7,,told her to forget that!

Will be a brutal week with high 90s actual temps and heat indexes
in the 100s.  Got out early this morning to water and rearrange shade cloth over butternut squash..dont know if anything will live or not but at least am
getting cherry tomatoes daily.

Nothing planned for the 4th for me.  just stay in AC and watch fireworks
on TV..news says is so dry will be LED lights this year and not light up works..good
idea!

Just in from feeding outside cats,,it is 98F on my porch thermometer

in the shade!
Got out early and fertilized tomatoes etc with 2/4/2 liquid.  The cherry 
tomatoes are producing but my big boys have nothing on them and in this
heat, the blooms may just drop off..we shall see.

Trying to figure out why I have good water pressure in house but only a
trickle from outside tap..will have Judy remove sprayer from garden hose
and check it out this afternoon.

Hot and muggy here in mid 90s..

town has a car show ongoing and a fish dinner later..
lots of people in town..
was dizzy and nauseous this morning for some reason so just
been lying around today and not getting outside... felt better  after
breakfast but still taking it easy.

you have tomatoes early this year...lucky you!

sunny and almost 90.  watered a bit and rigged up a cover over 2 

butternut squash areas sweltering in sun.

Phone co sent construction crew to lay underground fiber optic lines..
went down bank lot and then under my kitchen window..strange place as my phone is on other side of the house./  guy didnt know how they would connect with it..

Judy not coming till 5 P today as going with daughter to take grandkids to swimming
pool.

Another hot one for us so got out early again and watered

same heat here..uggh

Hot humid again here..watered early then fertilized tomatoes, squash, and eggplants..

tomatoes were wilted but perked up after watering.  I watered them well yday and
were already wilted this morning!

Eye dr appt OK yday.. no change so see again Dec 1
Engine light came on dashboard.. mechanic said was a loose hose .. $49.95 to fix.
Ordered a little battery operated desk fan to use in power outage..uses 4 D batts and
wont last long but if wet myself well with water and sit in front of it, may help.
I dread July and August!
