Rainy off and on here all day.. sun and 80s Sun and Monday

they say,  I am so tired of all this rain and welcome the sun even if it
does get humid and steamy!

Just little tasks done today...a load of laundry, cleaned out frig of
leftovers, cut up grapes for the birds and put out more jelly, the trash can
with vinegar cloth atop it deterred raccoons again last night .. hope that
continues..  most of the iris are blooming now and peonies are starting to open
up too... but too bad the rain weighs them down!

Overcast again with rain chance..creeks rising..

Last night I sprayed the entire trash can with apple cider vinegar and put a cloth soaked
in it atop 4 bricks on top of the can per a you tube suggestion,,. All is still there this morning,, dont know if it worked'or
if the coon wasnt here last night lol  It also says ammonia may work as smells like urine
to the coons.,  Will have Judy get me a big jug of it and save my vinegar.

While watching coons on YT also saw some cute vids of baby bears playing on
a hammock in  a back yard,,then found several more vids of same thing in several
diff states.. seems most bears enjoy hammocks!

 the coons are so clever and smart, they had one showing how a coon
managed to remove a bungee cord from a lid and get into the trash can!

For past 3  mornings the trash can  where i keep sunflower seed for birds

has had lid lying on ground and the seed got wet with rain!  Am pretty sure
raccoons are getting into at night..looked on you tube for solutions for locking lids
but dont see any inexpensive ones i could handle..even huge ones for bears on there.
they talk about ammonia or apple cider vinegar spray or pepper etc but wildlife
expert says they dont really work for determined coon..
Any suggestions?  Judy said try bungee cord but YT video showed a coon taking
them off easily!  I put bricks atop metal lid for weight but doubt that will work.
I used plastic can before but critters chew thru it!

no garage here or handy shed .. put can right under feeders so is handy to refill feeders

overcast here and wet,, more rain  and storms to start about 4 pm and go thru night and into morning

Seeing a bit of sun occasionally is a real treat!


Been getting daily calls recordings from insurance co.....so aggravating!


You Tube says cooked rice and pasta OK for birds too,,tossed some pasta on ground today but havent seen anyone eat it yet.


Toilet not  flushing right,,Judy's ex has promised to come by and look at it...hate it when things dont work right!
