The summers in Texas seem to stay quite warm until well after the official last day September 22. 2024.
And summers in other states look quite different than they do in Texas with yellow grass, big cracks, and very little rain. Ok, I know that is probably a spring picture, but you get what I am saying.
However, I have already noticed how much shorter the days have become.
Please remember to let your light shine all day and all night and help others along the way.
Enjoying the cooler temps..as dog days ended August 11...hoping they'll keep dropping along the way. Been a productive day here. Grocery shopping tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your week Cheryl 🙂
Wednesday is upon us! Have you finished your coffee yet?
Oh, I see you now! Are you still eating breakfast?
Carrots are really good for you but the day is drifting away quickly as the temperatures are rapidly rising!
I have already watered the yard and maybe played in the water a bit too. You know our temperatures will be 100° or more all this week.
After all, if you are outside taking care of the flowers and plants, you have to have fun! Play with the dogs, goats, cats, or anyone that will play with you.
If there is no one to play with, just sing. That is what the birds do. Then the Blessings will start to surround you.
While there's almost a month of Wonderland summer left, it feels like summer is fading. Any high temps won't last long. It's time to cut & dry some of my herbs: chives, oregano, sweet basil, sage, rosemary, parsley. Luckily, I will still have at least a month to continue enjoying them freshly cut. Hope your week is off to a grand start!🪻
We've warmed up here again too..very humid, as we got close to 6" rain a few days ago from storm. It was raining again this morning too, I'm counting down the days till Fall. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and new week ahead too -:)
Happiest Saturday to you! A bit like an oven outdoors but nice and cool in the house. I baked a banana walnut cake this morning and it made the house smell so good. I will share a piece with you.
Hello Lovely pics. The boys sure look as though they are enjoying themselves. Beautiful warm sunny day here and seems it will be like this well into next week. I’m thinking I may get out into the garden and do some weeding then. Not today though as I’m about to start wrapping the G Grandies birthday gifts that were dropped off during the week. I give their mother money so she can purchase their gifts as she knows what they want and need. I do this with their Xmas pressies too and it works well for all of us. Then later in the day I’ll be off to church service. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs Pat.
Happy Friday, and best wishes for a great & fun weekend. Glad the Southeast is seeing the end of Debby. I hope it whizzes past the Northeast much more quickly. DH goes in for 2nd reconstructive/graft surgery 9/3. His outlook is positive and good. Take care... *hugs* -di
Guess where I am today? I am at work! Fridays are usually quiet so I get to key things into the computer without too many interruptions.
When I sitz in front of the work computer, I know that in a week or so I will be able to buy a couple more treats for the dogs.
We have to be able to buy dog good because Lily likes to toss it around and get her exercise playing with it before she actually eats it.
We took the granddogs back already and what a difference in our house now. It is amazing how fast you get in a habit of them being around. I guess what I am saying is, "It is amazing how fast they train us!"
Our granddaughter is the graphic artist that designed and made this. I am sure their dogs and our dogs were all the inspiration she needed. Let's start the weekend now!
I hope you are having the best day! The sun has been out, its gotten cloudy and there have been a few rain drops. So far Tropical storm Debby hasn't given us much rain here. Guess I am far enough west from the coast. Yesterday I was trimming all my bushes and I got stung good in my ring finger. Thankfully I out ran all the others! Had to immediately take some claritin since I swell up and the redness spreads alot. It got past my wrist so the meds kicked in. that was awkward with a swollen hand yesterday. It's a lot better today thankfully. At least the bushes are all trimmed! Take care and Have a great night, Hugs,Rhonda
