The last golden days of summer . . . though it's overcast here in Wonderland. August blessings to you. Sharing some sunflowers and honey and a wish for a great weekend! 🍯
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Wednesday. It is a beautiful sunny day here but going to be a scorcher. Went out this morning and did my outdoor stuff and now will enjoy a quiet afternoon indoors. What are you doing today, Cheryl?
Welcome to the last day of July and another wacky Wednesday!
I know this next one isn't very funny and you may not even understand it but if you have grandchildren or great grandchildren you know there is a generation gap of some kind going on today.
Happy Tuesday to you! Do you have a hummingbird feeder to watch the hummingbirds?
This is one of my females. I call the colorful ones males and the plain one females. Usually when we are sitting on the patio, we hear them even before we see the motion of them coming to the feeders.
I would be so excited if I ever saw one feeding babies, or even saw a nest. One of my females is much smaller than the one in my picture.
I only have one thornless Cactus plant in a pot and it is not blooming, but my hummingbirds love the red blooms on our Turk's Cap plants.
So if you don't have any hummingbirds coming around, find a Turk's Cap plant because they love it.
Or you can just come on over anytime. The garage door will open and we will be there waiting to invite you in with lots of tail wagging ...
And so begins a new week! Have a good one as we slide into August. Getting a back shot tomorrow; the last one I had was back in March. I'll be able to sleep better for awhile. Sending your son continued healing vibes!🍄
As we start this new week, Mother Nature has decided to remind us that Summer is here in full swing.
We had almost 2 weeks with a chance of rain, clouds and cooler temperatures. While we did not get much rain, areas around us did.
Before the middle of August, Texas children will all be back in school and out of the heatwave coming our way.
So as our temperatures go back into the 100's, we give thanks to Mother Nature taking a vacation this year.
While our kids will all be back in air conditioned rooms, let us not forget the firefighters from Canada, Oregon, California and all over fighting big fires, trying to save homes, churches, and business, animals and land.
I hope you are enjoying the kind of Sunday that brings a smile to your face! It's another quiet Sunday here with no rain in sight for now. That will not be the case tomorrow as it looks like it will be a rainy day. Have a wonderful day whats left of it! Hugs,Rhonda
Whatcha doing this fine Saturday? We had to make a Publix run earlier. We use their sourdough bread for sandwiches and toast and it is the best. While we were gone, Dharma decided it would be fun to unstuff Copper's dog bed. She does these little stunts whenever we are out. I think she wants us to stay home. Good thing we love her so much. She does make us laugh. Have a super afternoon and evening.
I hope you have had a fantastic Friday, how could it not be fantastic, it means the weekend is here! How are your eyes doing? hope they continued to clear up. Allergies are miserable. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Rhonda
Hello Cheryl. How are your eyes now? I do hope you’ve had no more problems. Have you had any rain yet? I’ve had a busy day. Took my little fur baby to the Vet this morning as his eye had not improved after 6 weeks of treatment. It was decided this morning that he was to surgery so left him there and collected him late this afternoon. Hopefully this time the Ulcer will finally heal. I also had a visit to the Dr at midday for new scripts and while there was told the date I am to see the Kidney Specialist. Then dropped into the Council offices to register my two little dogs then went to the pharmacy to collect my scripts. Back home again for a well deserved coffee. Thankfully the day was fine and not raining as was predicted. Enjoy your day. Hugs Pat.
