What should I do on my day off? Color my hair? Check! Oh, I know - It's time to change my nails!
Even though we are 76° today and very cloudy again, I think it is time to take the Fall colors off. Ok, they were falling off and chipping because they have been on since a week before Thanksgiving.
So now it is time for Christmas and wrapping packages. What do you think? All I do is put presents in a bag, not wrap! How about you?
We only had 2 hours of sunshine this week and not much more than that last week. Even the Christmas Cactus is looking for sunshine.
I am so overwhelmed at all the Birthday wishes... I can never remember to look at the birthday list and then to get to your page on the right day. I'm bad. I don't know how to act but I am sharing my Birthday Cake with each of you for your birthday whenever it is. It isn't really mine but I couldn't resist! However, the arrangement is mine. My dear friend, Paula, sent it to me from The Flower Box in Rockwall. She and I used to run and play and go dancing in Corpus Christi before Robert and I met. Friends Forever! I am so BLESSED to have so many new and long time friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
When our children were little enjoyed watching them believe in Santa Claus however we told them Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas.
Santa was based on a real character, Nicholas of Myra. He lived 280-344 A.D. He was wealthy and gave generously to the people who needed help. Saint Nicholas (Santa) believed in Jesus and fulfilled God's command to love others.
Today, Jesus is real and alive. Santa rides in a sleigh, but Jesus rides on the wind and walks on the water. Santa comes once a year, but Jesus is with us every day. Santa fills your stockings with goodies, but Jesus supplies all your needs. Santa comes down your chimney uninvited, but Jesus stands at your door and knocks, (Revelation 3:20).
Have strong faith, love in your heart and believe that Jesus is with you. Let the candle of hope burn inside you, because you are definitely blessed.
Remember it is all about your Perspective!!! Thank you for the "get well" wishes. It is back to work tomorrow, probably for another month or two. So today is shower, laundry and lots of other necessary stuff to survive... you know what I mean.
Oh my! I haven't even been here to read your posts and yet you kept sending precious things to me. What a blessing! It was a rough week. Several close friends have major problems in their life and I have cried on and off all week. It was also a busy week at work. Then during my Thanksgiving break, I developed a sinus infections. I have been fighting to keep it out of my chest. So... thank you for being my
