Well, the week is already half over and so is the day. I have worked outside as the sun was shining today, so far. The rain showers come in waves! But yesterday I bought some plants I had been looking for and another double shepherd's hook.
I moved the hummingbird feeders to the new shepherd's hook out where the sun is on them. And once the hummingbirds find them out there, then I will probably put up extra feeders back where they were on the patio. I just want some pictures of them in the sunshine so their colors show up better. But I enjoy hearing them and being so close too.
So now I am off to replant a couple of things in pots. And yes, I probably have that many empty pots, just not all the same color or size.
Hello, friend, it is only a saying you have, a great friendship, many years, which sometimes, we think, is true, and they disappoint us, without expecting it, because we have been deceived, I give you my friendship, in exchange for nothing, that your beginning of the week is positive, with love, from your friend, take care of yourself, and enjoy
So I'll start with Blessings and Hugs! Good Afternoon! Guess what we did yesterday?
We started trimming tree limbs away from the shed. We had to cut up what was on the ground before rains started again. We are cutting the tree back so the squirrel has to have a parachute to jump into the tree from the storage building. The tree at the other end will have to wait for another day after the rains dry up.
The squirrels are so smart, they are probably already sewing several 🪂 🪂 🪂 🪂. But we got 1/2 of one tree done and cleaned up. Now just 4 1/2 to go as one is touching the roof.
Heading to get a haircut now. Ok, that was a month ago, but it is too long for summer. See you soon!
MY COMPUTER FINALLY CRASHED. I HAD TO GET A NEW ONE. SO MY NEXT FEW DAYS WILL BE TRYING TO GET THIS NEW ONE SET UP. DON'T LIKE IT SO FAR. LOL. HAVE A BLESSED DAY. LEE.
Got most of the water poured out of the trays from under the plants. Why, you say. Today there is no sunshine; we are completely overcast. Just look at our forecast.
In only a few days all the trays will be full again. Root rot is harder on plants than hot weather and no water. What is a girl to do? Just get out of the way because I'm going to get back outside and have a
Sure hope you do too! Stop by again when you slow down and have time to visit.
Guess what we have today? SUNSHINE and it is a beautiful day in the 70's. Oh what a difference the sun makes! So I am here to say...
We drove over (usually 40 minutes) to get new lens ordered for hubby's glasses and spent 45 minutes stopped in traffic because of a wreck. DFW traffic is bad!
But getting home to our backyard and the patio with the chimes clanging, hummingbirds drinking, birds chirping and flowers blooming, there is no place else that I would rather live!
May you have a glorius Thursday spring day. The tulips are blooming in the flowerbeds and I am thinking of pussy willows. Such an alsome day.Smiles Gloria
We ended up with 1.5" of rain yesterday (.8" day before) and no sunshine until about 7 pm today. So yes, we are soggy! Then Sunday through next Wednesday we have a pretty good chance for guess what... rain!
What are you doing today? There are so many little things that NEED to be done but this dreary weather does not inspire me to do anything. I hope to get something done before I watch for hummingbirds today.
I'm off to find the sun and a fairy to help me accomplish my chores today. Share your smile as I am sending you Blessings & Hugs!
So here we all are chowing down on salad and Chicken & Biscuit Dumplings. My girls love to cook and did an awesome job preparing it.
Look how big the chickens have gotten. And what great egg producers they are too. They are so curious. They kept trying to peck my phone in my hand.
My son will forever be 12 and never grow up. This was before lunch was ready. Of course, when we left they were heading out to go play volleyball against another family. They are always going somewhere and doing something.
After all, he is a good father, husband, son and son-in-law. Connie and I both got beautiful flowers from him.
And since my adopted family lives less that 10 miles from my kids, we got to go over there and visit for a while too. So proud of them too.
My grandson, William, won the headset he is wearing playing whatever it is he plays in #1 position and is working on winning $1000. He also teaches and mentors other new players.
Well, I hope you had a blessed Mother's Day and are having sun shining upon you (as we are in a heavy misty day awaiting rain tonight and all day tomorrow).
