Today I thought I would share some of my recent sky pictures. All I do is take them and I don't doctor them or enhance them.
The first one was taken from my front yard in the evening. The second one was taken in my backyard early one morning. When I see a beautiful sky in the early mornings, I hop, yes hop, up and have to hurry because I know in a matter of minutes, the bright colors will be gone.
I took this one one Sunday evening and was surprised to find a thunderstorm on radar. We didn't get a drop of rain even though we watched the radar with hopeful hearts for almost an hour.
As I turned around, this is what I saw above our house. Another beautiful cloud creation. Isn't God amazing.
So I hurried to the back yard. These clouds aren't as bright because it was a setting sun on the other side of our world. Yet it was equally as different and beautiful in it's own way.
Yesterday, as I was watering dry plants, I noticed something flew overhead. There were 3 or 4 buzzards. This one sat on our neighbor's roof for about 30 minutes.
As I finished up watering, I noticed that my poinsettias were turning red. I have 3 plants from probably the last 2-3 years. One of the plants was stuck in the back and has no red on it yet so I moved it to the front. But this is another sign that we are closing in on Thanksgiving, So I will say...
Can you believe it is the last Monday of October and next week we will be dark WAY too early for me? Why can't we stay in daylight savings time?
This is coming way too soon! Do you like/love winter? I am a sunshine and warm weather girl. I guess that is why I love Texas so much.
Of course, I do love the color Orange too! hehehe What is your favorite color?
Today, as I speak Blessings & Hugs over each of you and ask that you share your smile, I challenge you to DREAM. Speak your dream out loud and reach for it. It may just come true. But remember to be careful what you ask for.
Watched all our online Church services this morning. Hubby visited on the phone for a while and then my adopted granddaughter called on messenger video and we visited for a while.
Looked at the temperature last night as I was heading to bed and it was 75° at 10:40 pm. Woke up this morning and we started the day at 70°. Where did fall go?
So I am just going to send you Sunday hugs along with Blessings & smiles! And I going to say, you are always welcome at our place and
The weekend is in full swing. I can't wait to hear from you. We are back to humid and not so cool again. The Houston Astros are in the World Series! The Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys have the weekend off.
I know I need to start thinking about getting the plastic out (100') to cover all the plants but I just am not ready yet. I always hate putting the hanging plants and potted plants scattered all over the yard up for the winter.
And with our warm weather right now, I can just sit and think about it. I will just admit it, winter is not my favorite time of year. I like cool weather but not cold weather.
I almost never wear a jacket as I hate putting it on and taking it off. Besides, I usually just get in the car and go into the store. And you don't need a jacket either of those places in Texas.
I'm not really into fashion anymore either. I'm a "just take me as I am person" now. But please share your smile and joy with others.
good morning George, yes indeed Football Saturdays in the sourth are always highly anticipated. lol. Homecoming for our team today. Enjoy time spent with your son and family.
Really beginning to look and feel like fall. Trees are not colorful this year as we've had no frost. Football is on my schedule today - Go Buckeyes! Enjoy your weekend my friend. Hugs, Nancy
TGIF. I really did get several things done today, trash & recycle have been picked up, both of us have showered, I watered plants (already mid 80's) and hubby trimmed a tree with new pole saw.
I just have to share... My granddaughter, Nicole, is an 8th grader, she plays volleyball. Thursday, her team beat the other team 25-0. One girl on her team served the entire game. Have you ever heard of that? We are so proud of the team she is on this year. They won the weekend tournament a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I am so proud of her and winning 25-0 is something she will always have to remember.
Then, the first person I met on the Hill was Cricket in 2008. She passed away many years ago and is still having a "Woo Hoo" party with Jesus every day. But she sent me a cutting of the Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.
And so every time the one I have blooms, I know she is watching out for me.
So now I am off and running to share my smile with everyone I see. And yes, we are going to be near record setting temperatures of low 90's.
