There are no words to tell you how blessed we are today and everyday. The rain bombarded us at 3 am and we ended up with 2" total. But north of Fort Worth (Keller, Saginaw and other areas) had very large hail.
And it did lots of damage. The news showed areas like hotels, apartments, and car rentals where almost every car in the parking lots had the back windows totally shattered or lots of holes in them.
We had lots of thunder and lightning but no damaging winds or hail. And even though we had 2" of rain, we were on the edge of the storm as an area near Waxahachie reported 7" from last night.
I am so very thankful that all the plants I put out in the yard didn't get beat up, but seem to be thriving. Praying that those of you who needed rain got it and none of you had damage from storms.
George, what a beautiful welcoming page. Sure hope you got Judy home. Love you both!
It's a dreary, soggy day here in Ohio. Don't think it could get much gloomier. But I expect to see lots of beautiful flowers bursting forth for this inconvenience! I had a late start this morning but laundry and scrapbooking are on my agenda today. Hope you have a lovely day, whatever season you are in. Hugs, Nancy
Now it is afternoon already. Where does the time go? Who stole it ?
Yesterday I got some new plants and some seeds put in pots. Also got them all around our yard in places. Now I need your help identifying a bird that I got a picture of in our yard.
So now that I have wasted your time, you are probably wondering where the day has gone. Guess I had better go find my umbrella because we are due rain and storms for the next day or two.
I hope you have a smile on your face and that you share that smile with others today. Blessings & Hugs are headed your way and I am
It's clouds vs. sun this morning. But no rain! Need to do some weeding, so that may be in my plans for today:) What are yours? Happy Wednesday, George! *hugs* -di
Here we are into another week, Tuesday already. I paid a few bills... UGH! Hubby is mowing because tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday is a chance of up to 3-4" of rain. Our backyard creek is just now dry enough to mow today.
Sun, clouds and rain are competing for our attention. And the pink moon was beautiful last night. We all had to catch it in between the clouds moving in and out.
So when you have time stop by and leave me a note and know that I am sending your Blessings & Hugs!
What a beautiful spring morning! My flowering tree hung heavy with snow a week ago but I think it survived. The buds are beautiful and ready to burst open. Thankful for the little things! Have a blessed day. Hugs, Nancy
WOW George what a beautiful background where did you find this one? The little girl is watching to see if there are any fish in the water but alas there are none jumping on this day. Wishing you a beautirul spring day. Love and hugs your friend Connie
good morning George, did you get those storms over the weekend? They blew in here from the west but the worst of the missed my area. Have a good new week!
My how time flies even when you are retired. Where did the weekend go? We ended up with an inch of rain on Friday afternoon and evening. Saturday, we spent about 4 hours moving and planting plants. That afternoon we watched sports. Sunday we watched our Church services then enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching hummingbirds, squirrels, and lots of other birds. Even saw a big Blue Jay several times. Hubby got almost all the glue off my incision too. So it feels much better as I wait for more of the feeling to come back.
So thanks for being such a faithful friend and stopping by! It always means so much to me!
