Good Morning Lynnie. I haven't any news to pass on as I've not ventured far from home this past week with the daily temps being over 100°. Yesterday it was 10+. I can't complain as further north some towns registered 116°. However this afternoon its cooled down by a good 10 deg so much more pleasant. I hope you have a really nice day and a wonderful weekend. Here we go off to another great year . Hope your doing fine with all this bad weather going on . Had a cold front come in yesterday & only getting up to 40 today . Well, New Years Day is coming to an end here as the time now is almost 8.30pm. Weatherwise, the day has been very pleasant with temps hovering around the mid 80's. I never ventured to any Festivities. Much happier spending the day Quietly at home. How about you? are you doing anything special? Tomorrow I should go to town to collect a few Scripts than I'm very low on, Pick up a few items for my elderly friend who is now in an Aged Care Home and just a couple of grocery items for myself. Good evening Lynnie. Well, another New Year almost upon us. Looking back it has been an eventful year but then again, I guess most years are.
I did see on our news last evening that parts of the US have had unusually heavy rainfalls causing flooding. I do hope it's not where you are. Our weather here has improved re the heat as the temps are back into the 80's. Thursday it's predicted to be up around 104+ with Thunderstorms. It's the lightning I worry about as its starts so many fires. There was one just north of town last Friday but thankfully it was put out before it could spread too far. The Firefighting crews do such an amazing job as do the Pilots of the Aircraft.

Cooled down for a start in the new year . We Took down all of the Christmas day decorations while it was still warm outside & the inside . All is packed away for another year .Want to wish you & yous a very happy & healthy new year . Keep warm with a hug.......George

Summer has arrived with a vengeance having had temps reaching up to 104° since last Monday and including Xmas Day, however, we were indoors with the A/C so never really noticed it unless we ventured outdoors. Not unexpected, as the day is usually hot here so we are well prepared for it. I Had a lovely relaxing day with my son and family. I saw on the News this evening that some stores are already putting out their Hot Cross Buns!!.. That's ridiculous. Not long now and we will be in the New Year. Time passes so quickly.
