Hello. Hump Day in the colonies. I am hoping to take the splint off today, and maybe coffee..... tomorrow. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 25* heading for 35*. Uncertainty about today. Maybe church depending on how I feel about frost on the windshield. Tomorrow the countdown ends on an appointment I thought of cancelling. I will get the opinion of taking the splint off and thus whether to go back to the coffee. Of course it will be too late for the coffee tomorrow. I may wait a few more days for the coffee to get the wrist and arm back in shape. The big thing for me is to be able to put a glove on again with this cold weather. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Eve, or Old Year'sDay. Looks like a high of 33* today with some slight snow and sleet to make roads slippery. Right now it looks like a day of sequestration for this writer. I probably will not even take a constitutional as the moisture is due in about 10 minutes of this keystroke. Have a good day, and tonight, don't forget bail money. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. It is 25* heading for 35* with some snow showers later tonight. Yesterday, on one of my computers, I thought I would relent and allow Microsoft to update Windows for various reasons. Indeed it is not good for what I wanted and there is a negative which causes me inconvenience. I may undo the update and go back to the previous Windows. The update took 2 or3 hours. It does not take as long to go back. I have done this twice before. Massive depression that everything in the world is not perfect. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 30* heading to 37*. I see some sun icons for the afternoon. I will probably go for bananas today, and maybe participate in putting the garbage out. Church at sunrise, maybe. I hate having to do the defrost thing in the morning. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 29* heading to 37* with some light snow after 9. All right, people, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day on the site! A day on the site is like a day in church. Every pic is a banquet! Every comment is a fortune! I wait with anticipation to see the site bustling. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Looks like 32 heading to 39* later. I am in the middle of the week and waiting for the entire calendar to change, all three of them. I wonder how Boxer Day went for the beings of Mars. The day lasts longer for them than the people of my colony. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
One of the neighbors wanted me to have a good Christmas so they gave me this. If the Pistachios were red, there would be a problem with having to constantly wipe my fingers!
Merry Christmas. 54* going to 51*. Rain all night. Rain ending in about an hour of this keystroke. Then cloudy all day with rain visiting again at about noon. In other words, great for this time of year. Does not feel like Monday. I have no agenda today. I may take a constitutional in the neighborhood. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Christmas Eve. Nothing on the slate for today except going to Church later. Usually a big crowd as all of the people who do not go the whole year attend this one with their finest garb. In the past I would be pushed all the way to the outer doors of the vestibule but since they have the new church hall, they can seat people in there with comfortable chairs and monitors. I of course still stand in the vestibule in remembrance of the people in the catacombs. I may attend the store later if for no other reason than to see real people. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good day. It is about 43° heading for 49° later today. Besides the usual church on Saturday afternoon, I shall have to make a run to the store for bananas. I have just eaten my last banana in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE. Outside of that commotion, I am still deciding on what I shall get for Christmas dinner. One of the stores has a seafood sale and maybe I will attack that. It really doesn't matter as I shall be dining alone. I have been hearing all kinds of horror stories about people having several people over for dinner on Christmas. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 38* going to hit 45*. Today os something I like to call, the day getting lighter. I have looked out the window several times but I do not see it. Of course it is 2:30am so............ Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings. One day closer to the big day, a dental appointment in May. Tomorrow, for the people on the site who are on top of the world, more light. Ciao
Good morning. It’s Forefathers Day! On this day, we celebrate the anniversary of the pilgrims’ landing in Plymouth, Massachusetts on December 21, 1620. This holiday is also sometimes celebrated on the 22nd instead of the 21st due to a calendar mix-up that occurred hundreds of years ago! This happened before some of us were on this site. This also includes the story of the FIVE KERNELS OF CORN. I don't know if I believe that one or not but it is part of the festivities. Most people will see this celebration tomorrow when they look to see what they should celebrate but for us........ we will know. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Happy HUMP DAY. Starting the day at 30°, heading to 42°. It looks like the wind has subsided. We move one day closer to Christmas. On Christmas Eve, when I go to church, I am usually pushed out to the outer doors of the veranda. It seems like everyone goes to church on Christmas who never goes the whole year. I am not a fan of crowds but it really doesn't inconvenience me to be in the vestibule as I frequently spend time at church there. Not so much right now. But when I go on the weekend, I usually spend it in the MOTHER'S ROOM. Naturally I try to get to the grocery store and other places before the last two days before Christmas to avoid the crowds. I'm undecided on what I shall prepare on Christmas for dinner. It can't be a game time decision if I have to get something special at the store. I am leaning towards ham as it does not have to be prepared. I use to attend the Radisson Hotel for brunch. They have an excellent brunch. As a matter of fact, I used to go there every week for brunch. Then they discontinued the weekly brunch and only have it on special occasions like Mother's Day and Easter. So now I do not go at all. I shall remain in sequestration as I live vicariously through the people on the web. Usually there's a capacity crowd of people who can converse online. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 15* heading for 37*. Balmy compared to yesterday. The wind yesterday, horrendous. I went to CITY HALL to pay the taxes and the wind cut to my very soul. I had my head out the door this morning and it felt like an ice box. I miss the walk in the middle of the night but I am done with that. Once I get this splint off, I shall be doing the walk during the day. I do not like it but I do not like eating concrete either. Nothing planned for today. Maybe church but game time decision. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! For my biographers, I have 2 of the 3 new calendars hanging up. #2024
Good morning. Christmas week. It is 29* heading down to 15* as the day proceeds. Plan of action, City Hall, property tax. I stuck my head out when I saw some white stuff on the road to see if it was a mirage and it feels cold out. It almost makes me want to rethink the City Hall thing and pay online. And it gives me a chance to see real people with voices not generated by artificial means. And since I do not get the exercise in, it is a mental gymnastics if you will. And of course, it is the banana song, Yes We Have No Bananas by Louis Prima. Outside of this, I await the big day....... my dental appointment in May. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. This is something I like to call GAUDETE SUNDAY. It is a term used in my colony and Israel after Christ so some people are not old enough to remember it. 38* heading for 41* later. I am expecting fog the likes of Sherlock Holmes and London. I speak of the city, not Julie. Of course, since I no longer have my early morning protocol it makes no difference. I will be walking more in the light of day once I can wear a glove and drink coffee, though the coffee has nothing to do with anything. Getting close to Christmas for those of you who have a calendar, and I suppose even if you do not. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
GOOD MORNING. Ides of December..........and I know, the way the Italians do it, this is not strictly the Ides, but for people in the Colonies, it is easier to always have it on the 15th or so. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. It is 31°and going to 50° if you can believe the rumor mill. It almost makes me feel like going out for some fresh air. I could be outside with no gloves on which would be a good thing considering I would have trouble wearing gloves with my sling. I seem to be healing fairly well. It almost makes me want to take the sling off but I will give it at least another week. I gave myself enough time when scheduling an appointment with the people who put it on. The guy told this writer I can always cancel the appointment. I don't think he is going to do anything and so it is a waste of money to go back unless I'm having trouble. And this is the kind of sling you can take on and off unlike something plastered on. I did manage to get to the church yesterday which was a pleasant surprise as I was not going to go. Christmas is moving rapidly toward us. It is still too far away to have a countdown or make an accurate calculation on how far Christmas is. In either case, nothing is mandatory today. I may make another attempt at church this morning. Game time decision. I miss my exercise protocol in the middle of the night but I'm finally convinced that not being able to see things can be disastrous. Have a good day. Don't forget to put out the garbage this morning. I will not be participating. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 21* and going to double that at 42*. I did that with no sheepskin in math. I got to the store yesterday for bananas and some other items not needed, although the milk in the refrigerator was stale so maybe I needed that. I only use it for cereal so who would know! So now the neighbors can quit singing the song of not having bananas every time they pass my house on their rituals. Today will be another day of sequestration. There is a possibility of church but I am trying to heal up before going to an optional Mass. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
