Good morning. There is fog outside the fortress. About 37* but no wind so the walk went well. I am planning an outing to Walmart around 6AM, give or take 39 seconds. Emergency. Then to the gas station for some potatoes, and while there, some fuel in the auto. Maybe Church though Thursday is not my best day for that during the week. It is garbage day so don't forget to put out the garbage. I am not officially participating. I was discreet earlier when I did my exercise protocol. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Voting experience this morning: It was raining. The parking lot was full denoting a crowd. Never happened to this voter before. There were people standing outside in the rain. I was allowed in as I knew my precinct. I thank the nuns at the school for teaching this student how to read. Waiting in line is unusual for this writer when voting at this place. Then......... the voting machine broke down. We then had to write our choices on a black board and the staff copied it and called it in. Then........ decided to go to church and I found my priest is not back and the priest who likes to talk is there. I am now in THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE for the day.
Good morning. Voting today in the Colonies.Taxation without representation is tyranny. The end of political commercials. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Sunday. It is raining, and somewhat heavy. Not pouring but enough I got soaked on the walk this morning. Nothing else planned for today, outside. I have been cutting the bush in the back. I would like to get it down to nothing but I have no way of getting rid of the debris. Temperature: 46*/51*. This could be worse. It is November and it could be snow. I forgot to set the time on the cameras for standard time so that is the project for today. Have a good day and don't dance in the rain. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Saturday. About 37* this morning. It felt damp. Going to 59* later. All Souls Day. It is also called THE DAY OF THE DEAD. Of course so was yesterday but since it was a Holy Day, why think of that. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. ALL SAINTS' DAY, It is the anniversary of my retirement. I shall be going to the Cathedral for church in about an hour. I usually don't get down there but the time of the Mass is better today. 33* this morning on the walk. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 71*/72*. Last warm day in my colony. Then the ice age. Usually lasts about 20 years where I am. Yesterday it was 81* so I went out and about, but, and there is always a but, one has to be careful of the leaves if they get wet while tooling (great word from the 1960s) around on a motorcycle. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 65*/81*. This is unbelievable for this time of year in my backyard. I have been informed of the massive destruction of my wallet by the auto repair and furnace repair people. Of course the furnace broke down on a Sunday. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings. It is Monday morning. I went for the walk and it was pleasant. About 49* or something like that. I returned to the FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE. I prepared myself for a pleasant time of watching my sports talk shows only to find myself in total solitude. I have no cable, internet, nor phone service. In the last week, this has become a regular staple with the cable service. I am paying top price for the service but have not minded because the service has been good. Forget all of this. Service has just been restored. Now I await the situation with the car. By the way, they have been tied into the cable thing. I think they are on the same service. In either case, have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Sunday. 39*. This morning made the walk pleasant with some good conversation. I dropped my car off at the auto repair yesterday surreptitiously. Now I do not have to interact with them when they verbally trash my car. I received the bill for the furnace repair yesterday and had to be revived by medical people. Have a so-so day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. It is 32* this morning. Steam coming out of some manhole covers. Fortunately, there was no wind. I may go to the store in a little while. The car has a loud exhaust so I have to avoid contact with cops. I am going to try to get it fixed on Monday. I shall be going to church later. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
I walk out of the house at 3AM. It is 45* with no wind to speak of. It rained during the night. The smell is so refreshing. Maybe the leaves on the ground bring out smell. The only negative is all of the road and sidewalk construction. Outside of the situation with the car, the universe is perfect. Have a good day digesting my thoughts. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. 35* to start the day, but no wind. I am still haggling with the car situation. That can not be resolved until next week, and....... a car salesman is trying to get me to buy a car. So is life in my world. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. The last two days have been in the 80s. More than unusual for this time of year. Today will be down to 71*, and that is even warm for here. I went out yesterday and wanted to buy a new car. Failure. I was at Walmart and became embroiled in controversy with the self service, and then the service counter. Then I went to the service station for gas and the pump would not give me a receipt. More time wasted though not much. I also stopped at the Mall to become depressed at that state of affairs. I miss the bustle of the mall with all the stores. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Sunday. 58/82* for today. Unbelievable weather. Usually, the low temps we are having are our highs for this time of year. Power outage yesterday. I think about 9 hours or something like that. I think it had to do with some type of road work though I did not find it interesting to find out. This was the longest I had ever been without power. I was forced to amuse myself by doing some yard work and doing the dishes. I ordinarily do neither. Later my back was aching but that usually only lasts an hour or so. Hamstrings, they are the same length as when a person is born and thus as you grow, they stretch. At least in the North that happens. Nothing planned for today. On my exercise this morning I had to make an emergency stop for bananas. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
