Actually, I do not like humidity. The weather of Death Valley, mid-summer, is just fine with me.(LOL) BUT, I'll take anything above 72*, or so.
(recipe)... (It can be made both ways, or with any combination, where Vinegar, and combo seasoning is concerned) [(14,5 oz. of Tomato Sauce, or same amount of pureed fresh tomatoes) (1Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil) (1 Tbsp. Balsamic/ Red Wine Vinegar) (1 tsp. Italian Seasoning/Herbs de Provence) (3 cloves Minced Garlic) (2 Tbsp. Basil) (1/4 tsp. Salt (whatever kind))]. I made 2 batches. The 1st with Italian Seasoning & Red Wine Vinegar, and the 2nd with Herbs de Provence & Balsamic Vinegar. Both are fab, but the 1st, had more of a punch, and the 2nd milder. Both would be FABULOUS with pasta...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a FANTABULOUSLY FREAKY FRIDAY, and a PHENOMINAL WEEKEND to follow, my friend...
Good morning. It is September. Every September 1st I change the calendar pages of three calendars. It is a task. I have one changed now, with two to go. I have been having aches and pains in the back from the walk so to be certain I am able to complete the process of the calendars, I lessened the walk this morning to under two miles. Humbug! And then of course there is the tomato thing in Spain. I wonder who is selling all of those tomatoes. They have to be over-ripe to avoid injury. And there is the deprivation of ESPN on my cable system due to people trying to gouge each other on the price. Heaven help us!!! What will become of me? Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
So glad August is over. I say good riddance to it. Welcome to September 1st. Now we're sliding down the backside of summer. Time will start to speed up now. It does for me anyway. Summer drags by, but as soon as my time of year gets here, the months feel like they race by. Then October will shoot by like a shot in the dark. It always does. What months do you like best? My favorite months are October, November and December.
Did you finally get rain in your area? I recall you saying how very dry it was. Hope you got a good ground soaker, or as my grandmother use to say, 'a good garden soaker' and hopefully it cooled your temps down a bit.
Well no, you did not tell me about your fish pond. Didn't know you had one. Where is it - in the backyard? I too, like catfish. I like it baked and blackened. The only place in our neck of the woods that has catfish on their menu is, 'The Cracker Barrel'. Don't know why it seems to be so rare around here. Maybe I just haven't been to the right places. I don't even know of any fish markets in the area.
Thanks for the compliment n mmy page Darci - I love the color combination. Idaliah came thru lat nite and really cooled things off. We only got some rain but the Outer Banks got much worse as it always does. Today's high was 75 - glad I changed into jeans when we went out to eat with his brother and wife. I do love summer Darci, but am mostly inside in the AC - can get alot of things done if I'm not scrolling on the phone or watching cooking videos or animal ones!! I just recently gotten into watching things on my phone - never used to do it but it's a different story now as things pop up in a list when I open my phone and I get hooked. Tomorrow will be 78 but go down to 62 at nite. I guess my love of summer is because of all the good times I had at the beach in Atlantic City and on the boardwalk, all the stores and good places to eat, the rides, working on the boardwalk etc. Youth - what a good life we had, huh? Big hugs, Wendy
I LOVE A EARLY FALL NOT A DRAGGED OUT SUMMER. LOL MUCH COOLER HERE TODAY HAD A BIT OF RAIN LAST NIGHT AND SOME THIS MORNING. NEED A LOT MORE FOR SURE. HAVE A GOOD DAY DARCI. HUGS, MOE
Well its finally the last day of August. I'm hoping September will be cooler. The mornings are cool here, but the afternoon gets up in the 90's . I think I will change my page to Fall. I've been waiting to do that and September always makes me think of Fall. Well take care my friend . Hugs to you, Cheryl
good morning Darci, hope all yours and Dave's FL family are safe. Those linemen are always in my prayers after such an event. The job they do is so critical and we don't appreciate them enough. The storm hit a small coastal community about 100 miles south of here. We only got gusty wind and rain from it. It was worse to the east. Have a good last day of August and stay cool!
Thursday always produces a smile because the weekend is in sight. This is the last day of August. Are you ready for a new month? I will be working tomorrow to start September off right.
We have survived the last six weeks of heat and we hope to say goodbye to it along with the month of August.
We are ready to welcome a new month, a new season and new colors into our lives.
I am ready for flowers to be blooming again but first we need rain and lots of it.
The Blue Super Moon has been beautiful the last 3 nights and I do love taking pictures of it.
I am ready and waiting with my camera phone charged. Miracles happen after a good thunder and lightning show with lots of rain.
Good morning. Bright Blue Moon this morning. It is so bright I almost have to close the drapes/curtains. 54* this morning. Almost cold. Cut the walk down to 2 miles hoping to alleviate the aches and pains in the back. This could be a problem if I were to become an astronaut and go to Mars. My only agenda for today is church and even that is open to discussion. I hope the woman who saw me running out of the church yesterday with the plants is not there. I hated to bogart both plants but could not help myself. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
