Weekend is on the way!  It has been a nice Spring week for April.  

I am checking the ads for my grocery list.  As soon as I get that done, I hope to finish the book I am reading so I can start another one.  

After all, it is so much fun to travel and get totally lost in a good book.  

Just be in the moment, right inside the book.  You have done that, haven't you?  

Sometimes you can even feel the spray of the waves when you are reading a book!  

Now if I can just figure out which book I really want to read, to dive into and get lost.

Quiet day today - nice outside but not 80 degrees.  Went to a meeting at the Moose tonite, but thee wasn't enough of the right people there so there was no meeting.  We went out to dinner after at Applebee's as always.  Not our choice but if we want all to eat together, that's where we go.   The food was luke warm at best.  Our friends also complain and they got 20% off their ticket but we got nothing off and the kicker is they finished all their food and got another order of fries at no charge.  I ate half of my appitizer - boneless wings - and half of my burger.  Rich took most of his food home too.  I just wish the others would want to go somewhere else to eat.  Supposed to go to wind nite at the CPOA club tomorrow  - not sure I want any more wings that soon.  Hope you have a good Wednesday.   Hugs, Wendy

Working again!

What to do on a Thursday.  Dog days of summer, I mean spring.  Temperatures are up and down, BUT   

Every day is a new adventure.  Some days are just plain and simple.  Some days are exciting.  

More often us girls start out with a bad hair day.  Some days we can get it under control and other days it is like... who cares.  

I know we all have days that we just want to hide our head and take a nap.  Do not disturb me today.  

There are days when friends, family or spouses want to play a game of scrabble or some other nonsense game.  

Then there are the dreary days that the only thing to do is curl up in a chair with a cup of coffee and a good book.  What is your day like today and your favorite kind of day?  

Hi there. Its a lovely day here today. The wind is supposed to pick up and I really wish it wouldn't. But at least it isn't to warm yet. I hope you are having a nice afternoon. Not much going on here. Just doing the laundry. Tomorrow we are leaving to go to Oklahoma City. I have a doctor appointment there on Friday morning. Then we get to go and see our oldest daughter and her two boys. It will be nice to see them. Just wanted to let you know I won't be on here tomorrow or Friday or the weekend. Good morning. I got an early start this morning, before 2. Expecting rain at 4 so I wanted to miss that. As I was on the tour, I kept seeing lightning in the distance. The good thing is I did not hear thunder. In either case finished the process without dying and even got some extra credit in. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

It was a beautiful day here too.  I did a bit of house work while Rich was gone at his Masonic Lodge meeting.  He brought me home a few slices of pizza and some small wings and dessert.   I haen't eaten dessert yet - maybe in a little while.  I also went to the hospital to get my bood drawn - I'm late in doing it.  Forgot to do it yesterday and they left me a voicemail kinda scolding me to ge it done.  It's for the upcoming surgery.  They also did a MRSA tesst - something I never had before but no COVID test - it's not prevelent around here anymore and you don't need to wear a mask to go into the hospital anymore.  So thankful that wearing a mask has gone by the wayside.  I know what you mean when you say you love your life - not sappy at all, as I love my life too.  don't have to do anything if I don't ant to and go out to dinner several times a week .  Tomorrow nite is a Moose meeting and they go out to dinner after, then Thurs. is wing nite at the CPOA and we used to go out to eat on Fri but not anymore.  Then on Sundays every other week, on the first and second Mon at the VFW are our meetings and we usually eat there.  So what's not to like?  At 73 it's nice not to have to cook all the time, plus we traveled while he was  President of the FRA - oh yeah he usually brings me home some food from that meeting too if any is left.  LOL  I cooked every nite when I was your age so I'm not being rewarded in my ole age!!!   Have a good nite!  Warm Sunny hugs, Wendy
