I am enjoying a gorgeous Monday, are you? How was your Easter weekend, Bren? Mine was terrific and we had such a fun afternoon with the kids and grands yesterday. We went to Lowe's this morning for gutter guards Dave wants to put on the garage gutters and, while there, a couple plants just HAPPENED into the cart. I don't know that occurs so often but...I am now the proud owner of a beautiful white azalea and a gorgeous hanging basket of ivy geranium. HEHE Enjoy what's left of the day and have a peaceful evening. I am very familiar with the song, "You Say", by Lauren Daigle. It is just beautiful and gives me chills every time I hear it.
Since I won't be visiting The Hill tomorrow, I wanted to wish you a very happy Easter. No matter how you celebrate or spend your day, I hope it's terrific, Bren.
Are you having a good Thursday, I hope? It's quite nice here today with temps at 80* and a beautiful breeze. I've been to the doctor's office for blood work and to the grocery store, too. I think everyone in my town was grocery shopping. My goodness there were a lot of people out and about. Glad to be home and just chilling now. Have a great afternoon and evening, Bren.
What a sunny Monday it is. After a soggy Saturday and a sketchy Sunday, today is a welcome sight, Bren. I have some housework to accomplish and hope to enjoy some outdoor time later on. Tomorrow I have a doctor appointment (just routine) and that always takes a chunk out of my day. I hope you had a great weekend and that this new week will be as good if not better!
I hope your Wednesday weather is as beautiful as mine, Bren! 77*, sunshine, no humidity...just perfect. I've gotten my indoor work done and have swept sweet gum cones and rose petals off the back porch. Now I've come back into the a/c to let my allergies calm down a bit before I head back outside. Pollen count is off the charts, they tell us, but I don't need a meteorologist to know THAT. LOL Enjoy what's left of the day!
We had such a good weekend, not even the threat of a stormy Monday afternoon could wipe the smile off my face. How about you, Bren? Did you have a good weekend? Yesterday afternoon I planted three pots of zinnia seeds and, since our weather may be sketchy later on, Dave cut me some screen to put over the pots so the seeds don't get washed away. I also planted a porch box of radishes. I have marigold seeds to plant and may do those today, providing we have enough screen to cover them. Enjoy your afternoon/evening and let's have a terrific week.
hope your week-end was nice, i did alot of spring cleaning, closets, garage, attic...where does all this stuff come from...lol...have a wonderful and happy day...hugs
It's Friday, Bren! And it's a cool, drippy one for now but to clear up as the day progresses. Had to (yes, I really did HAVE TO) make a run to Michael's for more yarn.I was more than 3/4 through a row and ran out the color I was using. I was sure I'd have enough. Oh well...Michael's loves me, at any rate. Now I'm doing laundry and not much else. How is your day going? Do you have plans for the weekend? I will not be visiting The Hill tomorrow as we are going to Greensboro to spend the afternoon with Dave's mom and stepdad for the spring fling/Easter party at their assisted living home. The weather is to be gorgeous so it will great for our two hour drives to and from. And for the goings-on at the home. Enjoy the rest of the day and have a great Saturday, too.
Greetings from the very confused southeastern US. It was snowing like crazy here this morning! Big fat flakes of very wet, heavy snow. Our ground is too warm for it to have stuck, thankfully. It was pretty to see it falling but did cause me to double check the calendar to be sure it truly was April. Perhaps Mother Nature with a late April Fool joke? Well played, Ma. Well played. Heading to 50* now and the sun has opted to shine so things are looking more April-y once again.
A glorious Monday day to you. The sun is out and spring is in my heart. A bit chilly outside though so do not put away some of the winter gear yet. Ha Ha considering it is to snow on Tuesday . The calendars have all been changed and am ready to enjoy all of the April surprises.
I do believe I need a second cup of my flavored coffee of raspberry chocolate truffle to continue with my glorious moments of the day. Smiles Gloria
What a beautiful Monday it is, Bren! Chilly but sunny. Had to haul in some flowers and garden plants last night as it was to get to 32*. Have to do it again Tuesday night. THEN, it looks like warmer nights and smooth sailing. We hope, anyway. I hope you have a great week and terrific weather!
What a beautiful Saturday we have! These gorgeous spring days are spoiling me. I can't stand to be indoors and my house is showing my neglect. I must vacuum today if I do nothing else. We started painting the back porch floor yesterday. Looks so good. Going down to Lowes to buy stain for our new railings this morning. Can't stain them just yet but we want to get the stuff so when it's time, we are ready. Hope you day is amazing and fun. Stay safe, Bren!
May you have a pleasant day as spring is trying to come in and the birds are singing.
Still loads of snow on the ground but it is gradually melting down. Warms my heart the surprises of April when you start your day and wonder now are we going to have rain or snow or the glorious sunshine this day. My how I enjoy all the four seasons. Enjoy counting your many blessings and I will do the same. Smiles Gloria
Monday has arrived, Bren! And, so far, it's been a good one. Not a lot of sunshine, but it is warm and quite nice and I'll be doing some porch sitting soon. Unless it decides to rain...which they say it could. We took Melanie to get her rental car this morning and then ran to Lowe's (our home away from home) looking for a Yoshino cherry tree. Ended up finding one at Walmart, believe it or not. Now we are home for the day and I've made a no-bake cheesecake and have spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. How is YOUR day going? Hopefully it's great!
