What a rainy, cold Friday it is. But it's all good because I've gotten some things done and now am baking a double batch of Dave's favorite cookies for Christmas. My house smells like Mrs. Claus's kitchen. I have Christmas music playing and am feeling very festive. How is your day going? Is your weather good?
Happy sunny Tuesday to you. Well sunny for me, at least. Taking our middle daughter to the imaging center for an MRI today and, after that, probably not much else. Our snow is melting and I hope the ground can dry up some before rain comes on Friday and Saturday. It's a soggy, muddy mess. Instead of building snowmen for Christmas, we may all be mud-wrestling. 15 days until Christmas! And it truly feels holiday-ish since we got snow. Not a lot in my area but the NC mountains got dumped on. The ski resorts are very happy. It is very pretty and really puts me in the spirit (like I need help in that department?). Schools were canceled today and none of my daughters had to go to work due to icy road conditions. Our first "snow day" of the winter season. How is your weather and did you have a good weekend? Time to tackle another week!
It is a cool and drippy Saturday here but since it's the weekend, it's hard to complain. Not much happening at my house, how about yours? Whatever you are or aren't doing, enjoy the day! I'll do the same and then we'll both be happy, Bren!
I am having a very good Thursday and hope you are, too. I've grocery shopped and done some cleaning. I believe Dave and I are finished with yard work now until spring. He transplanted the last plant we had to move and now I guess everything will rest for a few months. They are calling for snow here this weekend and I must admit that I'm hopeful we get it. I can't remember having snow this early here. But then I can't remember what I walked from one room to the other for so.....

Rain? Check. Mud? Check. Wet dog smell? Oh yeah. But is it the weekend? You betcha. So all is right with the world. I just finished wrapping ALL our Christmas gifts. I will be hunched over for a week but at least the gifts are wrapped, Bren. Except for one. That I haven't bought yet. For our gift exchange game we all play Christmas afternoon. How is your weekend so far? I'm pretty sure I can convince Dave to watch a Christmas movie with me in a bit. I mean, what else is he going to do on this nasty, wet day? hehe

It is a beautiful Thursday for me, how about you? Sunshine and perfect temps for nearly December. I have just refilled the bird feeders and while I was out there, the birds were just fussing at me. As if to say, "hey, lady, hurry up". Now they are happy once again and I get to be entertained by the birds and squirrels from my living room windows. Hope your day is going great. Our beloved weekend is almost here.

Some of the grandsons are coming over with Mommy in afew days to help Grammie decorate the Christmas tree. We will have a glorious time and of course Grammie will have hot chocolate with marshmallows for them to enjoy along with some Christmas cookies.

It is a sunny, cold Wednesday at my house, Bren. Still in the 30s. How is your day going? I will do my usual daily stuff and then, later, watch another Christmas movie. I just love them. Doesn't matter to me that the storyline is basically the same in every one; I just like the festive, feel-good-ness they give me. Plus I'm a rather sappy soul. Enjoy your day and get out your sled as we begin our coast to the weekend! The first weekend in a new month.

What a joy it is to receive cards from friends during the month of December and even into January.
