I hope you had a terrific weekend and that your Monday has been going well. Our middle daughter, Melanie, has been here doing laundry as her dryer has issues that they just can't seem to fix. It's been fun hanging out with her though. Thursday, we are having friends come for the day on their way to FL for the winter. I always look forward to them stopping here either coming or going. We used to live two doors apart back in PA and they are good friends. So I won't be here to The Hill Thursday, Bren.
A breathtaking afternoon to you. Soup is in the crock pot for the day I did stock up on loads of oyster crackers from the store yesterday so am ready for the coolness of fall . Autumn puts such joy in my heart with all the surprise it will bring as the leaves change colors more and more. Smiles Gloria
"Listen! the wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves, We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!" - Humbert Wolfe
Wednesday has arrived and that means we can start seeing glimpses of the weekend in the distance. By the weekend, our weather is to cool down considerably and I am looking so forward to that. You just have no idea! I'll be doing a rain dance because we haven't had rain in weeks. The weather for so many of us has certainly been strange, hasn't it? I need to get some housework done and then sit down and work on my project that I've ripped out about a million times but have FINALLY gotten past the point of my frustration successfully now. At least until time to do the sleeves. But I think I'll celebrate this victory and not worry about sleeves just yet. ENJOY the day, whatever you may be doing, Bren.
The weekend is here! And ours started out a bit poorly since Dave spilled coffee on his laptop and fried it this morning. I feel so badly for him. How attached we've become to our electronics. Everything we do...including bill paying....is done online these days. Guess it's time for a new laptop, huh? Our oldest daughter came by this morning for a bit and had our oldest grandson (her nephew) along with. She and Chandler were going out to lunch. It was nice to see them. Enjoy your weekend, whatever you may be doing. Find time to relax!
Soup is brewing in the crock pot for the day. The fall air is fresh and refreshing to ones nose. My how I love fall and all of its adventures. Hope autumn will stay for awhile but living up north one better enjoy all of it for winter is poking its nose around the bend. I believe I will have another cup of pumpkin spice flavored coffee to help me to enjoy this wonderful day even more. Smiles Gloria
It looks like autumn has arrived at this gnome's home, huh? Looks like by the end of next week, the taste of autumn will visit my area and not a moment too soon. I am very eager, Bren. How is your Wednesday going? I've been busy and getting things done and only have towels to take off the clothesline later and my chores for the day are complete. New tv shows have started back this week and I'm glad to have some of our old favorites back! Have a terrific evening. Seems you have been waiting quite some time for your studio to be completed, Bren. You are being so patient!
It's Friday and I hope yours is fabulous! It's a beautiful day here and I've so enjoyed the last few days of autumn weather. Summer temps are making their comeback this weekend, sadly, but at least we know they won't last forever now. They won't, right? RIGHT? Enjoy today!
May your day be ever so kind to you. Fall is showing its colors more and more these days. Some of the leaves are even falling from the trees. So do like this time of the season and all of its colors and beauty. Do have a nice Wed. enjoying your moments the best you can by counting your blessings. Smiles Gloria
Are you having a terrific Tuesday, I hope? I've gotten a lot accomplished and hope to begin a new crochet project this afternoon. I can't start a project and watch tv at the same time so I start things in the afternoons when I can concentrate without the noise of the television. Once I know what I'm doing and get in a groove, I can do both. Enjoy the day and send fall weather my way if you don't mind, Bren!
Another 90* day in our endless summer, Bren! No rain in sight and the weatherman says there's none coming until maybe next week. I think we have lost a few young trees and plants due to the high heat and lack of rain. I guess our watering efforts failed. I told Dave we should probably rip up everything and plant cactus. LOL Did you have a good weekend? Ours seemed to fly right by. They do that a lot, don't they? Now to get things tackled this week so we can enjoy another weekend before we know it. Have a great evening!
Good morning!. Hope your having a pleasant Monday. In our area we are going to have a glorious heat wave into the 80's for the next few days. Going to do abit of the household duties and then enjoy the out of doors with all this sunshine . A good time to clean out more of the flowerbeds and put them to rest for the season. In the mean time I believe I would like to have another cup of coffee. Smiles Gloria
good morning! hope your week-end was nice, saturday was beautiful here, got a bunch of winter things washed and hung outside, sunday was well not so nice..wishing you a happy start to this new week...hugs..mk
The weekend is here and I hope yours is fun, safe, and relaxing. Nothing special happening at my house today....just hanging at the homestead and going over to our oldest daughter's later to pick up some lumber her guy has for us. Dave is going to build a carport for his truck! I guess it would be called a truckport then, huh?
HAPPY FRIDAY, Bren! What's happening at your house today? Do you have any weekend plans? It is so nice now that Dave is retired and every day is a weekend. We have a hard time remembering what day of the week it is, occasionally, now that he isn't going to a job every week day. Really not a bad problem to have. I have a Wally World run to make then I will bake a banana cake this afternoon before the bananas on my counter go to total mush.
