Going to be a hot weekend here, Bren. 90* and sunshine. I really can't believe July is nearly over. Though summer is my least favorite season, I sure don't wish it away! We've made it to Friday! In just a few hours we can call it the weekend. Do you have special plans for your weekend? None here. Just "chilling at the homestead" as my kids used to say. We ran a few errands this morning and now I'm doing laundry and Dave's working on his old truck. Think I'll turn on some tunes and make a joyful noise while I work. Ok, so my singing along with the radio should NEVER be considered joyful noise. At least to anyone who bears witness to my singing. HEHE!
Whoooo is happy it's hump day? After today we begin our coast to the weekend. I have some household stuff to do and will tackle that shortly and then just kick back for the duration of the day. How does your day look, Bren? The weather is going to be great today and I will use the sunshine and cooler temps as my inspiration to get things done!

It is a hot, humid and happy Sunday here, Bren. I hope your Sunday is happy, too! I've got potato salad made to go with our chicken for supper. Will make peach cobbler closer to suppertime. I went outside and picked some tomatoes but came in quickly enough. That sunshine is gorgeous but it's a real cooker! Hope you are keeping cool and having a restful afternoon!
I hope you're enjoying a sunny Saturday, Bren. Lots of sunshine here and heat to go with. I picked some tomatoes and have many left to go but had to come in for a cool-down. We went out to our oldest daughter, Lindy's, this morning to get some straw and stopped at the produce stand for some peaches. Looks like peach cobbler tonight or tomorrow! Lindy has kittens at her house and I could have spent the day just playing with them. Is there anything quite so cute? Enjoy what is left of the day and make sure to relax somewhere along the way!
Good afternoon, Bren! Been a busy day for me and I've gotten much accomplished. It is a heatwave for so many of us that I'm sure we all find ourselves getting things done indoors b/c we avoid going outside! I just keep the pitchers full of iced tea and the bowl of chunked up watermelon full in the frig! I refuse to wish away the summer just because it's uncomfortable. I'm loving the fresh produce and ever-grateful for the air conditioning. I'd love to shake the man's hand who invented that! LOL
G'day, Matey! A sunny, steamy, scorcher again today, Bren. I am enjoying the produce of summer...eating watermelon every day. Cools me down and tastes so refreshing. Keep cool and enjoy the day whatever your weather. After I get some cleaning done, I intend to crochet away the rest of the day!
This pup looks comfy taking a nap in his wheelbarrow. He wouldn't be comfortable HERE today doing that, however. More of the same....hot, humid, hazy. Oh, and let's not forget suffocating, stifling, and stuffy. Thankful all I need to do outside later is water my thirsty potted plants on the porches and steps. I've got supper in the crock pot, so no oven today. How is your day going and how is the weather at your house? I think most of us are melting, aren't we? After all, it IS July! What a lovely Monday day. A bit warm so will take of that with making up some ice coffee and or tea to freshen the day even more. Seems just like over night the white baby's breath bush bloomed and the lilies opened up also in the yard. Such a glorious treat to see. I'm always ready for the weekend, even though Dave is retired now and every day is a Saturday to us. hehe Bren, I brought you carrots in hopes you could swap an apple pie for them! That was the nicest thing for you to bake a pie for your neighbors and for them to return the favor in veggies!

Here we are with another Monday on our plate. If weekends are the dessert of life, surely Mondays are the Brussels sprouts. Blech! HAHA We had a great weekend, albeit, a scorching one. Today is more of the same and STILL waiting for rain. Our current feels-like temperature is 100*. Summer sometimes likes to show itself in a rather brutal way. Such a bully. Enjoy this wonderful day, no matter the weather or what you're doing. I'll do the same on my end and we will both be happy! Bren, I know you hate missing going to your studio. But two hours is a long time to be in the car going nowhere fast!
